Wealth is power

Imagine you had to choose between unlimited free time or unlimited money, but not both. Would you spend your days freely pursuing passion, rest, and relationships? Or secure financial power to build empires, travel, and support others.

I will choose wealth over and over and over again. Let me tell you a bit about what lack of money causes me.I lost a friend sometime in 2023 because of lack of money. I will first tell you about my friend and how lack of money took her life. Anna is in her early thirties; she got married to a man who is somehow not that responsible, you know what I mean, right? Anna's husband is not supportive;

she has to do some menial jobs just so she can take care of herself and her kids. Anna was pregnant with her fourth child. She went into labor and went to the hospital all by herself. She had a safe delivery, but complications arose. She started bleeding, and it was a community clinic.

You know that kind of place doesn't have a blood bank, right? Hm, and their workers are somehow unserious people. Forgive my manners; I mean no disrespect for community health workers. 🫢. But Anna was bleeding, and they left her like that, oh my! Heartless people 😥. By the time we arrived to check up on her, it was already too late; she had lost too much blood already.

That was how we lost Anna; may her soul continue to rest in peace. Imagine we were wealthy; things like this could have been avoided. She could have gone to a better hospital for better medical attention. Another scenario was. There was a time when in my state, there was a vacancy for a government teaching job.

My sister applied and got the job; her name was shortlisted. We were so happy for her, but boom, when it was time to get her appointment letter, the management started asking for money. Guess how much? Six hundred thousand naira. But unfortunately we didn't have that kind of money, and she lost the opportunity.

And again, imagine if we were wealthy; all these could have been avoided. So I will choose wealth over time again. To support my family and friends. Another opportunity we missed in my family was my father's gratuity because we didn't have money or we didn't know any influential person to help us. My father's gratuity was out i mean ready, to be paid to us his family, but this people keep tell us to come back tomorrow, come back next week, that was how they continue treating my mother bad 😔 till she gave up on the money. Not that the money wasn't ready o but because of wicked hearts of a man, seeing that she was just a helpless widow. Now imagine being wealthy. All these could have been possible without any issues.

My father was a teacher before his death. You see why I could choose wealth again, right? What matters more to me, time or wealth? I say wealth. Imagine I were wealthy enough to help Anna live or help my sister secure that teaching job. Or even my father's gratuity money. I choose wealth. Thank you for coming.
