✦ Life is too short to worry too much: How do you like to start your mornings? ✦
Creo que cuando eres muy joven es difícil comprender la dimensión de esa frase, "la vida es muy corta para preocuparse demasiado", porque tu mundo es muy pequeño aunque lo sientas tan basto e infinito de posibilidades. Cuando era mas joven me preocupaba demasiado por todo, es lo que sucede cuando eres una persona apasionada, entonces mis mañanas empezaban con una larga lista de pasos antes de salir o de propiamente, considerar que podía empezar con mi día. Hoy mis mañanas empiezan totalmente diferente.
I think that when you're very young, it's difficult to understand the meaning of the phrase, “life is too short to worry too much,” because your world is very small, even though it feels vast and full of endless possibilities. When I was younger, I worried too much about everything, which is what happens when you're a passionate person. My mornings would start with a long list of things I had to do before I could leave the house or even consider starting my day. Today, my mornings start completely differently.

Hoy no tengo prisas, especialmente porque ahora los mininos de la casa han encontrado su lugar favorito para dormir en las noches en el centro y esquinas de mi cama, me da pena molestarlos tan temprano (salir de la cama ahora es un tema acrobático). Cuando ya no puedo posponer el levantarme, bajo a la cocina para preparar el desayuno sin stress, colar café y alimentar a los michis, es una rutina muy amena, he aprendido que a menos que se trate de una emergencia, empezar el día corriendo no hace gran diferencia en mis resultados ni en lo positivo que pueda hacer por los demás; sigo insistiendo en construir una hermosa y agradable vida y parte de eso es empezar el día con serenidad.
Today I'm in no hurry, especially because now the cats in the house have found their favorite place to sleep at night in the center and corners of my bed, and I feel bad disturbing them so early (getting out of bed now is an acrobatic feat). When I can no longer put off getting up, I go down to the kitchen to prepare breakfast without stress, brew coffee, and feed the cats. It's a very pleasant routine. I've learned that unless it's an emergency, starting the day in a rush doesn't make much difference to my results or to the positive things I can do for others. I continue to insist on building a beautiful and pleasant life, and part of that is starting the day with serenity.

Las cosas que me hacen reír hoy son muchas, me gustan las películas de Adam Sandler y de Queen Latifah, también los viejos capítulos de las primeras temporadas de South Park (especialmente la versión al español-latino donde la increíble Patricia Azan interpreta a Cartman).
There are many things that make me laugh today. I like Adam Sandler and Queen Latifah movies, as well as old episodes from the first seasons of South Park (especially the Spanish-Latin American version where the incredible Patricia Azan plays Cartman).
Pero lo que mas me hace reír al punto de que me duela el estomago es el agudo sentido del humor de mis amigas y de mi hermano, simplemente tienen un ingenio increíble para las bromas y una rapidez casi letal para no dejar escapar la oportunidad de decir algo demasiado inteligente, demasiado afilado o increíblemente hilarante. Definitivamente lo que mas me hace reír en la vida es el humor espontáneo.
But what makes me laugh the most, to the point that my stomach hurts, is the sharp sense of humor of my friends and my brother. They simply have an incredible knack for jokes and an almost lethal quickness to never miss an opportunity to say something too clever, too sharp, or incredibly hilarious. Definitely, what makes me laugh the most in life is spontaneous humor.

I completely understand the cat thing! One of my kitties literally sleeps on my feet all night long and it's very hard to move as it feels like there's extra gravitational pull that anchors him ever so firmly to the bed and my feet! They are such blessings!

I look at my cat, Mr. Teech and wonder how he is so relaxed and carefree. He has no commitments or obligations as he often take over my reclining chair. I rarely use it anyway. He's quite entertaining and all he wants is some attention. I sometimes ask him, "What can you teach me today?"
