What is your favorite thing to enjoy during the holiday season,and why?

This time of the year Christmas is probably my favorite holiday season for so many reasons, of which I can't even keep count off. Throughout my 28years of life I haven't spent one single Christmas holiday away from my family, hahaha is that not just amazing.

Mentioning the word ''family'' should already be a giveaway point on some of the things I enjoy during the holiday season. I so so much love spending time with the whole of my family during this time of the year.

This years family gathering during this season came in a very special way, I will not just get to spend my holiday with my immediate family, but will definitely be spending it with my extended family and the whole of the good people of my community Okaka.

My uncle who happens to be the king of my community is being appreciated by the whole of the community, so I know it's going to be fun, stay tuned because I will be writing about that event.

Just patiently waiting on 27th

Some of my most anticipated thing to do is, we get to cook alot of delicious meal together, share cooked meals to neighbors and those who visit during the day.

I had to travel home with this basil leaf,known in Nigeria as scent leaf,we usually have issues getting it in the market during this season

The best part is seeing children all dressed up for the day, walking around with both traditional and English attires, to visit their loved ones, friends, uncles, aunties and neighbors while being gifted money as a way of saying Merry Christmas.

Oh I have so many best parts, hahaha, the Christmas and new year cross overs are usually so lite, I can't even explain, because there is always too much going on. Music across all areas, fireworks, youths all over the place, just living in the moment, I so much enjoy it.

The crossover to the next year in church is never missed, the cool vibrant early morning walk home after the shout of Happy New Year, gives me chills and automatic joy that cannot just be explained, it's like ok, it's the start of something new again, we move.

All this, is because it is the time to give thanks and appreciate all the things we have achieved individually and together as a family. We get to strategies on things we are expected to achieve in the next year as a team.
