Its always a pleasure to be here but sometimes the days are so fast to end the week. Thank you dear @priyanarc for these beautiful questions connecting the ever loving season Christmas 🎄.

2️⃣ If your family celebrated a holiday when you were a child, do you still have an ornament , decoration, or any ritual item that was used when you were a child? If so, what is it and its significance to you.

Christmas is one of the things I love so much since a child and into my adulthood. As a child I could still remember vividly how I use to be so excited once the year is ending and talks about Christmas 🎄 starting to be noticed with my parents trying to first make new clothes for my siblings and I because it seamed though that there is nothing more important to them than how they want their kids to appear in new well styled clothes as if we their children does not have clothes to wear if they don’t make new ones for us.

So I grew up with this memory of always expecting to have newly made clothes every Christmas which made me to always believe that I was going to look my best at Christmas. And apart from this new clothes my parents put so much emphasis on which J now see as a ritual, my father will always also make sure that their will be life chickens 🐓 that will be bought before hand to avoid cost 💲 that usually escalate once we have just few weeks to Christmas. And seeing these things then as a kid is one big memory and lay down ritual my parents maintained for years.

And as for ornaments, I remembered some Christmas gifts I got from my grandmother then, a little basket 🧺 with Jesus in the manger which I kept through all my secondary school days but was misplaced as I left home for the university. This was truly one ornament I cherished so much due to how it was given to me by my grandmother.

And I could literally say that Christmas was one tradition in my house due to how my parents usually will invite many of our extended family members for a get together that involves cooking in large quantities, buying of different kinds of drinks which brings everyone to satisfaction mood. And I feel this kind of celebration 🎉 was how my father feels about Christmas then and nothing so extravagant.

Decorating during the Christmas season is one thing I never saw my mother do because it was not really on thing they pay attention to in their time, instead , I saw mother many times during the Christmas season making sure to put the environment to more cleanliness. And not that the environment is not usually clean, but she employe gardeners to clean and put the flowers 💐 to a good trimming which will give the environment some new look. So decorating was not like in this time of ours where huge tree 🌲 are decorated with lots of ornaments.

However, as the years were going and things changing, photography became one important thing we never miss during Christmas festival. And apart from photos, many Christmas outfits became a symbol used for Christmas pictures which help us keep better memories since pictures are one thing we see almost every now and then. What beautiful memories the season is about to bring us.
