Monomad Challenge - A Working Rotary Phone - by Sunscape

I couldn't believe my eyes when at a country gas station there was this working "Rotary Phone". Now mind you, it has got to be over 35 years since I've seen one. They slowly disappeared around our area at that time.
Look at the year on the dial; 1957 is that crazy or what and it still has a dial tone. Obviously it still works wonderfully.

I know many of you here on Hive are old enough to remember using one back in the day. Now, we pretty much rely on cell phones and have gotten rid of land lines in our homes.

This is a closeup of the instructions. They were crinkled and a little hard to read, but I think you can make it out.
- Remove Handset
- Wait for dial-tone
- Wait for party to answer
- Drop in coin
Long Distance - Deposit coins as requested by operator
Does anyone still use a rotary phone in your township. Perhaps they are still available in other countries. It would be fun to find out from other Hivians. Happy New Year to all!

As far as I know there's not one in my town. But I still have my corded landline....
