When I was little, I didn't understand why she said that. But as an adult, I totally get it. Especially when I was in my old town, where there were a lot of vacant lots that no one was using. I later found out they were sites with seismic faults. It's important to take these factors into account, because then it happens, as it happened with several projects, where they ignored that, built, and then had to abandon the project halfway. 😅 What a relief that you feel safe despite living so close to a river.
