CONTENIDO EN ESPAÑOL

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de la escritura creativa! Una vez más, me sumo al concurso semanal, luego de una semana un tanto ajetreada. Aún permanezco fuera de casa, pero me las he arreglado para siempre estar en movimiento y tener algo que hacer. Más, detenerme a escribir me ayuda a mantener el enfoque y recordar que no siempre hay que andar apresurado.

Siempre me sorprenderán las formas en que el ser humano, puede llegar a adaptarse. Nunca he tenido la oportunidad de pescar en la vida real, sólo lo he llegado a hacer a través de videojuegos, pero creo que si tuviera la oportunidad de que me inviten un día a pescar, no aceptaría. A pesar de que me guste mucho el pescado, no podría comerlo luego de haber visto el proceso de captura y mucho menos tener que lidiar con el pez recién capturado. Lo sé, soy muy cobarde para algunas cosas jaja.

Lo mismo ocurre con otros tipos de productos del mar. Cuando era niña, recuerdo que comía camarones y me gustaba muchísimo la sopa y arroz con "chipi chipi", que es como se le dice a las almejas pequeñas en mi país. Pero ¿Creen que podría consumir eso en la actualidad? Nada que ver. La otra vez mi madre trajo algo de camarones y pulpo que había cocinado y a pesar de que traté de comerlo y no pensar en el asunto, fue imposible para mí consumirlo.

Por otro lado, he escuchado y leído que la pesca, es una actividad que requiere mucha paciencia, porque no es cómo en algunos videojuegos en donde apenas lanzas la red o la caña y el pez, pica enseguida. Sabemos que el uso de la tecnología ha hecho que muchos de nosotros ya no estemos dispuestos a esperar por las cosas (me incluyo) y eso, es lamentable.

Todo proyecto en la vida, es como pescar, no es fácil al principio y requiere que usemos nuestras habilidades, conscientes de que llevará su tiempo obtener un logro visible. Trato de tener presente estas cosas cuando me desanimo, porque puede ser que el pez gordo esté por picar mi anzuelo, pero por mi desesperación, acabe por retirar la caña antes de tiempo. Esa es mi preocupación, por eso, trato de no apresurarme, de tomarme las cosas con calma y como el buen pescador, lanzar mi caña o mi red con total convicción, a la espera de lo que el mundo tenga para ofrecerme ✨

Hello to all the members of this community and lovers of creative writing! Once again, I'm joining the weekly contest after a somewhat busy week. I'm still away from home, but I've managed to always be on the move and have something to do. Plus, stopping to write helps me stay focused and remember not to always be in a rush.

I'll always be amazed at the ways in which human beings can adapt. I've never had the opportunity to fish in real life; I've only done so through video games, but I think if I were ever invited to go fishing one day, I wouldn't accept. Even though I love fish, I couldn't eat it after seeing the catching process, much less having to deal with the freshly caught fish. I know, I'm a bit of a coward when it comes to some things, haha.

The same goes for other types of seafood. When I was a child, I remember eating shrimp and really liking the soup and rice with "chipi chipi," which is what small clams are called in my country. But do you think I could eat that today? Absolutely not. The other time my mother brought some shrimp and octopus she had cooked, and even though I tried to eat it and not think about it, I couldn't eat it.

On the other hand, I've heard and read that fishing is an activity that requires a lot of patience, because it's not like some video games where you just cast your net or rod and the fish bites right away. We know that the use of technology has made many of us no longer willing to wait for things (myself included), and that's unfortunate.

Every project in life is like fishing; it's not easy at first and requires us to use our skills, knowing that it will take time to achieve a visible achievement. I try to keep these things in mind when I get discouraged, because the big fish may be about to bite my hook, but in my desperation, I end up pulling the line too soon. That's my concern, so I try not to rush, to take things calmly, and like a good fisherman, cast my line or net with complete conviction, waiting for what the world has to offer me ✨
