ENGLISH CONTENT

Hello to all the members of this community and mural lovers! I'm joining again in the weekly contest with a mural/graffiti that I found while walking through the streets of the city of Barquisimeto (Venezuela). I don't remember the exact address, because I decided to walk along a different route than I'm usually used to and suddenly, my street art-hungry eye quickly noticed the wonderful mural inspired by the character Garfield, by Jim Davis.

I grew up reading Garfield comics in the newspaper and watching some of his animated versions on television, so it was a pleasant shock to find the character painted on one of the city's walls. I have no idea what the graffiti says, but I love the style of the lettering, especially because it was done using the same colors used to paint Garfield.

Something I liked was that Q.D.M.C/CREW also painted the post in front of the mural, so that it would also be part of the drawing. Excellent detail! That's something that fascinates me about artists: How ingenious they can be. The mural is from this year, so I'm glad I found it. It's not every day I come across recent murals, so I consider that this day I was lucky to find it. I hope it stays for a long time ✨

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de los murales! Vuelvo a sumarme al concurso semanal con un mural/grafitti que me encontré mientras me hallaba caminando por las calles de la ciudad de Barquisimeto (Venezuela). No recuerdo exactamente la dirección, pues decidí caminar por una ruta diferente a la que suelo estar acostumbrada y de pronto, mi ojo ávido de arte callejero no tardó en fijarse en el maravilloso mural inspirado en el personaje Garfield, de Jim Davis.

Crecí leyendo las tiras cómicas de Garfield en el periódico, así como viendo algunas de sus versiones animadas por televisión, así que fue una grata impresión hallarme al personaje dibujado en uno de los muros de la ciudad. No tengo la más remota idea de lo que dicen los grafitis, pero el estilo de las letras me encanta, sobre todo porque los realizaron utilizando los mismos colores que usaron para pintar a Garfield.

Algo que me gustó, fue que Q.D.M.C/CREW, también pintaron el poste que se encuentra delante del mural, para que también formase parte del dibujo ¡Excelente detalle! Eso es algo que me fascina de los artistas: Los ingeniosos que pueden llegar a ser. El mural es de éste mismo año, así que me alegro de haberlo encontrado. No todos los días me encuentro con murales recientes, así que considero que ese día tuve suerte de hallarlo. Ojalá que se mantenga por mucho tiempo ✨
