Hello to all the women in this community! Today started off well, sewing some things I have in progress, but then something happened, and my spirits plummeted to the point where I felt really bad. When things like this happen, it's hard for me to decide what to post, because I tend to get very emotional about what I write, so I needed something to motivate me and help me get out of my sadness... That's when I remembered that I hadn't participated in the contest in a while, and after reading the challenge, I knew it was exactly what I needed. I remembered what motivates me to get up every morning and keep going no matter what's going on around me. Needless to say, by the time I finished posting, I felt renewed ✨

💚✨ What’s one big decision you made recently that changed something in your life? 💚✨

Without a doubt, the best thing was relaunching my online store Suecitos. Although I had been sharing my creations and services on Facebook for several years, when I opened my Instagram account, I couldn't dedicate time to sewing or crafts because I didn't have my supplies with me, so I only posted what I had in stock. After moving to the capital, one of the advantages is having access to my sewing machine and materials, so I thought I could take advantage of this and revive my business.

However, being in a new city was a new challenge, since I didn't know anything or anyone. Even so, I didn't get discouraged and started with what I could do: posting things I had finished years ago, at least to show them off. That's how, after searching, I found the opportunity through social media to attend a bazaar. It was a wonderful experience because not only did I have the chance to display my products, but I also had the pleasure of receiving positive feedback from the attendees. That was crucial for me, as I needed that encouragement to feel that what I created was appreciated and worth continuing to make.

After that experience, I ventured into new things, little by little, and started thinking about what I could offer. I confess that what I love most is making plushies and dolls, but it's a job that requires materials I don't yet have, so for now, I'll make the products I can with the materials I have and gradually buy the materials I need to reopen my plushie and doll commissions.

Thank God, I've made a few sales and even completed a couple of sewing orders! I loved doing them, and the clients were delighted! And I think that wouldn't have been possible if I hadn't decided to go to the flea market and revive my shop. I believe there's still a lot of work to be done, not only to offer eye-catching products but also to raise awareness of my business. But, even if they are small steps, I am striving daily to make that possible.

This has not only encouraged me as a seamstress, but also my creative side. Before, I wouldn't touch the sewing machine for months, and now I'm using it every morning and I can't stop saving videos and tutorials of things to sew, as well as sketching some designs that come to mind! I'm so excited! Of course, at this time of year, I'm feeling the Christmas spirit and I'm making some things. Stay tuned because, of course, I'll be posting my creations on my blog! 🎄✨

¡Hola a todas las mujeres de esta comunidad! El día de hoy comencé con buen pie, cosiendo unas cosas que tengo en proceso y luego de algo que ocurrió, mis ánimos se bajaron de golpe, hasta el punto de sentirme realmente mal. Cuando me ocurren eventos así, me es difícil decidir qué publicar, pues soy muy dada a emocionarme con lo que escribo, así que necesitaba algo que me motivase y me ayudase a salir de mi tristeza... Fue cuando recordé que no había participado en el concurso desde hace un tiempo y tras leer lo planteado, supe que era lo que necesitaba, pues recordé qué es lo que me motiva a levantarme cada mañana y a continuar a pesar de lo que suceda a mi alrededor. Sobra decir que al terminar la publicación, me sentía renovada ✨

💚✨ ¿Cuál fue una decisión importante que tomaste recientemente que cambió algo en tu vida? 💚✨

Sin duda fue la de retomar mi tienda virtual Suecitos, si bien, tenía bastantes años compartiendo mis creaciones y servicios a través de Facebook, cuando abrí la cuenta en Instagram, no podía dedicarle tiempo a la costura ni a las manualidades porque no tenía mis cosas conmigo, así que sólo subía lo que tenía en stock. Luego de mudarme a la capital, una de las ventajas es que tengo acceso a mi máquina de coser y mis materiales, así que pensé que podría aprovechar de reactivar mi emprendimiento.

Aunque, estando en una nueva ciudad, era un nuevo reto, pues no conocía nada ni a nadie. Aún así, no me desanimé y comencé con lo que podía hacer: Subiendo las cosas que ya tenía listas desde hace años, al menos para irlas mostrando. Fue así cómo, luego de buscar, conseguí a través de las redes sociales, la oportunidad de asistir a un mercadillo. Fue una experiencia maravillosa porque no sólo tuve la oportunidad de exhibir mis productos, sino que tuve la dicha de recibir los buenos comentarios de los asistentes. Eso, fue crucial para mí, pues necesitaba de ese empuje para sentir que lo que creaba, era apreciado y que valía la pena seguir fabricando.

Tras esa experiencia, me aventuré a hacer nuevas cosas, poco a poco, así como plantearme lo que podría ofrecer. Confieso que lo que más adoro es hacer peluches y muñecas, pero es un trabajo que requiere de materiales que aún no poseo, así que, por los momentos, iré elaborando los productos que pueda con los materiales que tengo y poco a poco, comprar los materiales que necesito para abrir de nuevo, mis comisiones de peluches y muñecas.

Gracias Dios, he hecho unas cuantas ventas y hasta hice un par de encargos de costura ¡Amé realizarlos y los clientes quedaron encantados! Y pienso que eso no hubiera sido posible si no hubiera decidido a ir al mercadillo y a reactivarme como tienda. Considero que aún hay mucho trabajo por hacer, no sólo para ofrecer productos llamativos, sino también para darme a conocer. Pero, así sean pasos pequeños, diariamente estoy esforzándome para que eso, sea posible.

Eso, no sólo me ha animado como costurera, sino también en mi parte creativa. Antes, no me animaba por meses a tocar la máquina de coser y ahora, estoy usándola por las mañanas y hasta no puedo dejar de guardar videos y tutoriales de cosas para coser, así como dibujando algunos diseños que se me ocurren ¡Estoy tan animada! Por supuesto, en esta época, ando con el espíritu navideño encima y ando elaborando algunas cosillas ¡Estense atentos que por supuesto, subiré mis creaciones en mi blog! 🎄✨
