Hello to all the women in this community! I was eager to participate in last week's contest, but I didn't find myself in the questions posed 😅 so I passed. However, in this round #257 I was encouraged more than anything by the first proposal hehe.

💚 Do you like collecting things? If so, could you tell us why? Since when? And show us photos of your collection 💚

I didn't know I liked collecting things, but without realizing it, I've been doing it since I was little. I've collected various things, but what I hold most dear is trading card albums. My childhood was heavily influenced by cartoons and anime, released as merchandise, albums to fill. I never finished one as such, but I loved getting a new image every time I opened a pack. Currently, I think I've replaced that hobby with saving images I like in my phone's gallery. Haha, it's free, but the collection will never be full because it's endless.

The other thing I started collecting were the tazos and the buildable figures that came in snack packs. It was quite common for the products to come with some trendy promotion that ended up becoming popular in schools. My parents bought us the packs, and my grandmother saved the figures for us when she shopped, because at the time, she ate a lot of those kinds of snacks.

I also started collecting keychains. I don't know why, but my parents always bought me any cute keychain that I ended up liking. I ended up having a huge pile of just keychains all together, haha. I left that one at home before we moved because most of the rings had gotten damaged over time. I'd like to pick up this collection again, but I only have a couple of cute new keychains.

As an adult, I have a dried leaves album. I started collecting them because I love nature, and where I used to live, there was a lot of vegetation. I almost filled the photo album. I also have my button collection. It's not a collection as such, because I use them as I make pieces, haha, but I like having them, and there are some I can't use because I don't want to lose them, haha.

✨Where I keep my pencil sharpeners✨

However, the collection I'm slowly adding to is my pencil sharpener collection. I started it without a plan in mind years ago. I wanted to collect something nice and personal, harkening back to the days when I had a pencil sharpener I really liked that had a handle. The pencil sharpeners I buy are simple and cheap, the kind they sell in stationery stores, so I don't feel guilty about buying them, not to mention that they have a use, unless they are the ones I was given because they were no longer useful or some that I bought at almost a bargain price for the same reason.

But, without a doubt, my favorites are the ones that special people gave me with me in mind. Like the one my mom @pinina bought, which features a teddy bear; the one my sister @maisugar bought, which is shaped like a bird and, for some reason, has a whistle that makes a sound when you blow on it; as well as the one my dear friend @yetsimar gave me, which is shaped like a watermelon. Seeing those pencil sharpeners in particular fills me with a pleasant feeling, because they remembered my special love for pencil sharpeners.

I'd like to collect more things, but my current finances prevent me from doing so, haha. Even pencil sharpeners, despite being inexpensive, aren't bought randomly. I buy them at a time that's special or appropriate, so that they have a kind of sentimental value. I think that's what makes a collection fascinating—that it's capable of generating emotions and reminiscing about situations once observed. Because there's nothing like a good anecdote that starts with "Do you want to know the story of how I got that piece?" and tells something that leaves the listener with at least a smile on their face. ✨

¡Hola a todas las mujeres de esta comunidad! Me quedé con deseos de participar en el concurso de la semana pasada, pero no me hallé en las preguntas planteadas 😅 así que lo dejé pasar, en cambio, en esta ronda #257 me animé más que nada por la primera propuesta jeje.

💚 ¿Te gusta coleccionar cosas? Si es así, ¿podrías decirnos por qué? ¿Desde cuándo? Y muéstranos fotos de tu colección 💚

No sabía que me gustaba coleccionar cosas, pero sin darme cuenta, lo hago desde pequeña. He coleccionado varias cosas, pero lo que más le tengo cariño, es a los álbumes de barajitas. Mi infancia estuvo muy marcada por las caricaturas y animes, saliendo como mercancía, los álbumes para completar. Nunca terminé uno como tal, pero me gustaba mucho obtener una imagen nueva cada vez que abría un sobre. Actualmente, creo que suplanté ese hobbie por el de guardar imágenes que me gustan en la galería de mi teléfono jaja es gratis, pero nunca se llenará la colección porque es infinita.

Lo otro que llegué a coleccionar, fueron los tazos y las figuras armables que venían en los paquetes de snacks. Era bastante común que los productos vinieran con alguna promoción que estuviera de moda y acababa volviéndose popular en los colegios. Mis padres nos compraban los paquetes y mi abuela, nos guardaba las figuras cuando ella compraba, porque en ese tiempo, ella comía muchos snacks de ese tipo.

También llegué a coleccionar llaveros. No sé porqué, pero mis padres siempre me compraban cualquier llaverito lindo que acababa por gustarme. Llegué a tener una pelota inmensa de puros llaveros unidos jaja esa si la dejé en la casa antes de mudarnos, porque la mayoría de los aros, se habían estropeado con el paso del tiempo. Esta colección me gustaría retomarla, pero apenas tengo un par de llaveros lindos nuevos.

De mis colecciones siendo adulta, tengo un álbum con hojas secas. Empecé a coleccionarlas porque me gusta la naturaleza y donde vivía antes, había mucha la vegetación. Casi llené el álbum fotográfico. También tengo mi colección de botones, la cual, no es una colección como tal, porque los uso a medida que hago piezas jaja pero me gusta tenerlos y hay algunos que no puedo usar porque no quiero perderlos jaja.

✨Donde guardo mis sacapuntas✨

Sin embargo, la colección que poco a poco voy sumando, es mi colección de sacapuntas. La comencé sin una idea en mente hace años. Quería coleccionar algo lindo y personal, remorando la época en la que tenía un sacapuntas que me gustaba mucho y que era con una manija. Los sacapuntas que adquiero, son sencillos y baratos, de esos que venden en las papelerías, así que no me duele el bolsillo cuando los compro, ni me siento culpable por ello, sin mencionar que tienen una utilidad, a menos que sean los que me regalaron porque ya no servían o algunos que adquirí casi a precio regalado por lo mismo.

Pero, sin duda, mis favoritos son los que me dieron personas especiales pensando en mí. Como el que compró mi madre @pinina , de un osito; el que adquirió mi hermana @maisugar, que tiene forma de pájaro y por alguna razón, trae un pito que suena si lo soplas; así como el que me regaló mi querida amiga @yetsimar que tiene forma de sandía. Ver esos sacapuntas en especial, me llena de un sentimiento agradable, porque ellas se acordaron de mi gusto especial por los sacapuntas.

Me gustaría coleccionar más cosas, pero mi economía actual me lo impide jaja porque hasta los sacapuntas, a pesar de ser económicos, no los compro a lo loco, sino en un momento en el que considere o que sea especial, para que tenga una especie de valor sentimental. Considero que eso es lo que hace fascinante una colección, que sea capaz de generarte emociones y rememorar situaciones una vez que sea observado, porque no hay nada como una buena anécdota que empiece con un "¿Quieres saber la historia de cómo obtuve esa pieza?" y contar algo que deje al oyente por lo menos, con una sonrisa en sus labios ✨
