Landscape photography for Qurators Photo Quest

This morning i brought the wife to work , she starts at 07:00 AM and after that i drove back with my cameras and tripod knowing i might be able to catch a bit of sunrise today .

The sky looked promising a bit of clouds the photos i'll post today are made with my old camera the Sony A7II + Laowa 15mm f4.5 1:2 macro lens .

This is my contribution for this weeks @qurator photo quest landscape :

Capturing this mornings sunrise and dew drops on the grass, a little different kind of landscape .

You can find all the info about the contest here :

And now the story of how i got to make this photo.

1 ) The first stop this morning after bringing the wife to work, a lot of clouds and a litle bit of opening up.
But not a safe spot to stay for a long time , so moving to next location.

2 ) We have been here before , but never this early .
The sunrise will be behind me so it won't be captured directly by that camera.

3 ) Looks like the sun wants to come out and play

4 )Slowly the clouds aremaking way for the blue sky.

5 )And it starts to light up the things a bit

6 )as the clouds and light changes so does the reflections on the water

7 )More blue sky , but still no sunlight.

8 ) Clouds are breaking up , sun should be here soon

9 )dew drops on the grass

10 ) O look , the first daisy flowers already here

11 ) There it is sun above the horizon making the dew drops sparkle on the grass

12 )

13 ) quickly changing the timelapse settings although it'is just a test from me to see how much the light is changing to avoid overexposed pictures.

14 ) what a difference already with photo nr 5

15 ) And there is the Sun

16 )Looks like it's going to be a sunny day

17 )wondering what my mini timelapse will look like

18 ) Time to go home and get some coffee and watch the results on the pc.

Well that is all for today , when i post this post i will start developing the photos and timelapse on the other camera and maybe post that another day.

I believe the desert and over the water are some of the best places to observe sunrise and sunsets.

because of the wide view without any signs of touched by humans ?

Most likely. Think some of my favorite sunrises were over the water when I was on ship.

Wow, the view looks absolutely gorgeous, and I've never seen anything like it before. And you captured some really cool and incredible angles.

the angles are possible due to the Laowa 15mm lens it has a sweet spot at F11 and you can get really close to a subject and still capture it suroundings.

It's incredible how the passage of time, waiting for the sun to rise and, above all, the patience required to take these shots, produces such beautiful results. The same place with different lighting seems to be a different landscape, and I love how the reflections change.

I also love the superimposed photos and, above all, the mystery of the fog in the first landscapes. The dew on the grass and the little flowers are charming. You've created a wonderful composition. I love it! Thank you very much and hugs!🤗
