Sapien Loop 2026 Quiz 3 Answers

Hi Everyone,

SLQ_2026_3_THUMB_Results.jpg

It is time to announce the results of the third Sapien Loop Quiz for this year. In hindsight, I can see the questions in this contest have been considerably more difficult than others I have run. They have been a little vaguer and more focused on minor characters. Therefore, I congratulate all the participants on answering so many questions correctly.

The turnout for this contest has been a little disappointing. Only four entered. In general, it has been hard to maintain attention on Hive. I will soon be spending much more time on Hive, as I have almost finished the final book in my Sapien Loop series.

How to Play!

SLQ_2026_3_How.jpg

For those who did not enter, here is a quick recap of how to play. The quiz contains nine multiple-choice questions. Each question has five possible answers. The participant is required to select the correct answer from the five options. The participant who answers the most questions correctly wins the contest. If there is a tie, the participant who entered first wins. There is also a requirement for the winner to answer at least five questions correctly. This is my way of ensuring that the participants have read the books.

The prize for each contest is 30 Hive Power. The entries of the first twelve participants are upvoted.

Explanations

Question 1: This question is from the short story ‘Life Underground’. During Miro's and Flint’s visit to the cult's underground city, Angelo explains the differences in how they view faith. He explains that Miro is the source of the faith of his tribes. Whereas he is not the source of his tribe’s faith. He is just the messenger, and the Higher Power is the absolute source.

Question 2: This question is from the short story ‘Life Underground’. Angelo shows interest in acquiring the weapons that Miro’s guards had. Miro agreed for Angelo’s tribe (cult) to have these weapons with very little pushback. He believed that Angelo would use these weapons to attack the other tribes. This would strengthen his argument that the other tribes needed greater protection from him. He would then play the hero and save them. When their attack failed, he would then attack the cult. He believed this was a possible path to take over their underground city.

Question 3: This question is from the short story ‘The G.O.A.T.’ Both Milly and Lily noticed that the Linap children were arrogant and awful. Lily also noticed that Linap children were weak and needed more time off school to recover from sickness. The Sapiens did not have these same problems.
Note: The question should have referred to Lily rather than Milly.

Question 4: This question is from the short story ‘The Special Enforcer’. When the head trainer went to the canteen to talk to the recruits about the recent crime that had been committed, he reminded them that prevention is the first job of an enforcer. Later on, Eugene reminds the other recruits of this point.

Question 5: This question is from the short story ‘Polly’. Vulay, under the control of Jennifer, rescued Polly from the wreckage of a car crash. She was extremely badly injured. In order to save her life, Dr. Cortex was forced to replace some of her body parts with mechanical parts. During the surgery, he also implanted the Jennifer chip in Polly’s brain.

Question 6: This question is from the short story ‘The Chief in the North’. Sanguine’s parents were killed in the rebellion. Locum and Tarrina became his guardians. Locum became the chief until Sanguine came of age. They both played a role in raising Sanguine. Tarrina managed to get Sanguine to speak by singing a song. She consistently offered emotional support during his upbringing in the North. She also showed compassion to Erin when she was injured as well as Locum when his health deteriorated.

Question 7: This question is from ‘Character’s Journeys: Part One’. Alma Bramley was involved in an illegal back-breeding program. This involved the breeding of the new Linap with the old Linap. She had a son named Jimbo who she desperately tried to protect.

Question 8: This question is from ‘Character’s Journeys: Part Three’. Jaffadella was the Junior Philosopher in the Adoy House of Divine Knowledge. She helped Orcille obtain permission for his presentation at the House of Divine Knowledge.

Question 9: This question is from ‘Character’s Journeys: Part Five’ as well as the short story ‘Just Another Day in the Economic Institute’. Politics swayed in favour of the Business Sector or the House of the Divine Knowledge. The key feature of the Great Divide was that neither side had dominance over the Government. Randall, the head of the Economic Institute at the time, wanted to get the pendulum swinging again so that he could maintain his influence over both sides.

The Winner

SLQ_2026_3_Winner.jpg

Overall, this contest had just four participants. All four participants answered at least five questions correctly. Two participants answered seven questions correctly, creating a tie. They were @hatdogsensei and @peng-an. @hatdogsensei entered the contest first and is therefore the winner. Congratulations, you have won 30 Hive Power.

I currently do not have a date for the next quiz. It depends when the third book is finalised. The remaining Sapien Loop quizzes for this year will be focused on the content of this book. I will have more updates to come soon.

The Sapien Loop Series

Loop_Series.gif

I am writing a trilogy of books titled Sapien Loop. The first in the series is Sapien Loop: End of an Era and the second is Sapien Loop: Frozen in Time. I published both of these books as ebooks on Amazon, and I have posted completed chapters to my @captainhive account. I anticipate publishing the third book in early 2027. I expect to title this book Sapien Loop: Worlds Collide. In 2025, I plan to write short stories about some of the characters and their adventures. I will post these to my @captainhive over the course of the year.

Brief Summary of Sapien Loop: End of an Era

Sapien_Loop_Full_Hive.gif

This story is based on the fictional planet Sapia and its sole country, Sapey. Sapey is portrayed as a form of utopia for all its citizens. No poverty. No war. Almost no crime. Opportunities for all.

This was enough for most citizens, but not all. In one of the small regions, some of the citizens had become discontent. They felt something important was missing in their lives. Their discontent did not go unnoticed. Some of the Sapey elite wanted to weaponise this discontent to gain more power. This created more chaos than they anticipated. This led to further widespread social unrest.

On top of the chaos, ambition and greed provoked another enemy. This enemy was on a mission to settle both new and old scores.

Brief Summary of Sapien Loop: Frozen in Time

Sapien_Loop_2.gif

This story is based six years after the original story. The Downs Region is still suffering from a serious health crisis caused by the contaminated water. The main characters are desperately trying to find a cure for the illness that has been caused by the water.

One of the main characters has discovered frozen humanoids in hidden chambers. It appears they have been frozen for a long time. These chambers connect to a vast network of tunnels. While exploring the tunnels, one of the frozen humanoids disappears. It appears he has been stolen.

The story takes a step back in time to tell the story of the frozen humanoids. How and why were they frozen? This part of the story also explains the fall of ancient Sapey and the birth of the Sapiens. Can those from the past be able to coexist with those from the present?
