The Calm of Hisui Nights – Gaming Photography Weekly Contest

Hello friends and gaming community, this is my post to participate in the Gaming Photography Weekly Contest – Theme: Night Photography, and I truly hope you enjoy it. These screenshots come from the videogame Pokémon Legends: Arceus by Nintendo, a title that, despite its simple graphics, captures the natural beauty of landscapes in a unique way. The nights in Hisui are especially atmospheric, with star-filled skies and a shining moon that transmit both calm and mystery, creating moments that feel magical and contemplative. Through these captures I want to share the quiet charm of the night and the beauty of some Pokémon under the moonlight, hoping that you can enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Everyone sees Bidoof and Bibarel as mere work Pokémon, but for me they are among the most memorable and charming. Their design, although simple, is beautifully achieved and full of warmth. I love this photo where they appear calm and peaceful at night, living by the lakeshore. I enjoy how they seem to embrace the starry night, showing their friendly and gentle nature. Without a doubt, they are some of the most noble and serene Pokémon in all of Hisui.

Here I am, simply standing still with all of Hisui behind me, enjoying the night and the Pokémon that wait for this time of day to emerge. There is so much room for peace within the adventure itself, so much to observe before we continue our journey.

The moon in Hisui is truly beautiful, and becomes the main protagonist of the night alongside the great mountain. Everything shines during Hisui’s nights.

While I remain silent, Shinx calls out to me with a cry. It seems to enjoy the peace of the night, and the sparkle of the stars blends with the sparks that glow from its body. Shinx can be quite wary by nature, so seeing it so calm and relaxed is always beautiful. There’s nothing like making new Pokémon friends.

Snorlax watches me from the hill as I calmly approach. The night is full of stars, and the air feels cooler near the water. I like this moment because there’s no battle or tension, just the possibility of meeting. Sometimes, the quietest Pokémon are the ones that teach us to pause and take in the landscape.

From the hill, you can see the great mountain breaking through the night. At its peak lies the space-time rift that brought me to this world. Everything feels more immense and imposing from here, and I feel smaller, more insignificant. Sometimes, just looking is enough to realize how vast this world truly is.

Wurmple appears before me, small and curious, as if trying to greet me. The night is quiet and the sky is full of stars. I like this moment because it shows that even the smallest Pokémon have their place in this world. Sometimes, just pausing and sharing the silence is enough for a friendship to begin.

I pause before a tree to admire its glowing fruit and leaves under the moonlight. Everything feels slow and peaceful, a moment of rest within the journey. In Hisui, even the trees seem to hold secrets. Could a Pokémon be hiding among the branches?

STOPYour screenshots were great, this video game looks amazing. I don't think I even knew this Pokémon game existed. It really has beautiful graphics and the sky looks well done, although it reminded me a bit of Animal Crossing.
