And although the photograph I’m sharing today is in black and white, I’d like to mention that it’s of a small red flower. I don’t remember its name at the moment, but it’s a very common plant in gardens. The most striking feature of this plant is its peculiar shape, which reminds us of those stars that appear in children’s storybooks—a perfect five-pointed star. It’s wonderful to see this kind of perfect form in nature, geometries that seem almost impossible. I believe black and white doesn’t do full justice to the beauty of the plant, but it does give the flower a new kind of expressiveness.

Y aunque la fotografía que hoy les comparto es en blanco y negro, me gustaría decir que es de una pequeña flor roja. No recuerdo el nombre en estos momentos, pero es una planta muy común en los jardines. Lo más llamativo de esta planta es su peculiar forma, que nos recuerda a esas estrellas que aparecen en los libros de cuentos infantiles: una perfecta estrella de cinco puntas. Es maravilloso ver esta clase de formas perfectas en la naturaleza, estas geometrías que parecen casi imposibles.
