Soledad - Black & White Photography [ENG/ESP]

Hola amigos y hola comunidad, en especial a todos los amantes de la fotografía, esta será mi participación para la iniciativa semanal de Photofeed, específicamente para la iniciativa de fotografía en Blanco y Negro. Hoy les compartiré mi imagen con un pequeño miniblog sobre ella, espero que disfruten tanto la imagen como el texto que la acompaña. Comenzamos.

The photograph I share with you today once again features nature as its protagonist. I have always thought that nature is a very good inspiration for photography, and although sometimes it feels almost like a betrayal to hide the beautiful colors of flowers and plants behind black and white, the truth is that black and white can help us highlight emotions and details that get lost in the attention drawn by color. In this case, I used, and I think I really liked the result, black and white to separate the subject, a small romerillo flower, from the background (a larger group of different shapes, flowers, and leaves) in an image very full of information. Thus, despite being a composition loaded with elements, the romerillo flower stands out as unique and solitary. I also played with depth of field effects to achieve blurriness in almost the entire photograph except for the main subject. The original photograph was taken in color, yet black and white is what turns it into something more than just a simple nature photo. I hope you liked this photograph I share with you today. La fotografía que hoy les comparto vuelve a tener de protagonista la naturaleza. Siempre he pensado que la naturaleza es una muy buena inspiración para la fotografía, y aunque a veces se siente casi una traición ocultar los bellos colores de las flores y plantas detrás del blanco y negro, lo cierto es que el blanco y negro puede ayudarnos a resaltar emociones y puntos que se pierden ante la atención del color. En este caso utilicé, y creo que me gustó mucho el resultado, el blanco y negro para separar de una imagen muy cargada en información el sujeto, una pequeña flor de romerillo, del fondo, un grupo más grande de distintas formas, flores y hojas. Así, a pesar de ser una composición cargada en elementos, la flor del romerillo destaca del resto como única y solitaria. También jugué con efectos en la profundidad del campo para lograr desenfoques en casi toda la fotografía a excepción del sujeto principal. La fotografía original fue tomada a color y sin embargo el blanco y negro es quien la convierte en algo más que una simple foto de naturaleza.
