I especially loved one with a mermaid theme; forgive me for not remembering the author at this moment as I write the blog, but it was truly gorgeous. Today we return with a new round and a new opportunity to put our artistic skills and creativity to the test.

Hola amigos y comunidad de #LMAC, espero que estén teniendo un muy lindo día. ¡Qué hermoso fue el round anterior! Creo que todos, o la mayoría, nos pusimos de acuerdo para incluir el mar o elementos marinos en los collages. Amé sobre todo uno con temática de sirenas; perdonen que no recuerde el autor en estos momentos en que escribo el blog, pero quedó hermosísimo. Hoy regresamos con una nueva ronda y una nueva oportunidad de poner a prueba nuestras habilidades artísticas y nuestra creatividad.

As you can see, today’s collage is inspired by love and war, and also by waiting: a girl awaits her beloved who went off to war. In the clouds, a place of encounter; flowers and butterflies. Behind them, symbolic words in Spanish are grouped together, from “strategy” to “garden”, representing the correspondence between lovers, the letters that reach their destination and those that do not.

For the collage, I used techniques from both digital collage and photomanipulation, as well as traditional collage, like those paper cut-out textures that I love so much.

Como pueden apreciar, el collage de hoy está inspirado en el amor y la guerra, y también en la espera: una chica espera a su amor que partió a la guerra. En las nubes, un lugar de encuentro; flores y mariposas. Detrás se agrupan palabras simbólicas en español, desde “estrategia” hasta “jardín”, representando la correspondencia entre los enamorados, la que llega a su destino y la que no.

Para el collage utilicé técnicas tanto del collage y la photomanipulation digital como del collage tradicional, como esas texturas de papel de recorte que tanto me gustan.
