The photo I share with you today shows the shell of a land snail, resting on some leaves of a garden plant. I like that this photograph is in black and white because it highlights the contrast between the organic: the plants, and the mineral: the shell. I like how well the texture of the snail and the spiral can be seen despite how fragmented it is. There is a mix between the hard and rough visual of the foreground: the shell, and the soft and velvety feel of the leaves in the background. For this photograph I used my mobile phone with selective focus, natural light, and the subsequent editing did the rest.

La foto que les comparto hoy muestra una concha de un caracol terrestre, descansando sobre unas hojas de una planta de jardín. Me gusta que esta fotografía sea en blanco y negro porque resalta el contraste entre lo orgánico: las plantas, y lo mineral: la concha. Me gusta lo bien que se nota la textura del caracol y la espiral a pesar de lo fragmentado que está. Hay una mezcla entre el visual duro y áspero del primer plano: la concha, con lo suave y aterciopelado de las hojas del fondo. Para esta fotografía usé mi teléfono móvil con el enfoque selectivo, la luz natural, y la edición posterior hizo el resto.
