Hello friends, this is my entry for the Gaming Photography Weekly Contest – Theme: Gaming Photographs. This time I want to share with you not only photographs, but also a short narrative inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. My intention is for each image to be more than just a screenshot: to become a chapter in a story, an epic journey of the hero and his encounter with a dragon, as a tribute to the greatness of Hyrule.

A hero advances alone through the vastness of Hyrule. The sun sets, and only one mission drives him forward: to find Farosh, the dragon that holds the power of lightning, from which he needs just a single scale to bring life back to a forgotten place. Every step in the sand brings him closer to the castle and to the battle that awaits.

The castle is a fortress of dark aura, as if the kingdom itself were corrupted around it. The hero knows that in its surroundings, across the stone bridges and within the waters of nearby rivers and lakes, Farosh, the dragon of lightning, appears. The certainty of its presence fills him with conflicting emotions. He knows it is a creature that understands neither good nor evil, and its mere existence makes him feel strangely both protected and endangered. He cannot explain it, he only knows that he needs a part of it.

Upon his steed, the hero advances across the stone bridge. He knows that the majestic creature is about to appear. The silence of the night is broken only by the hooves of his horse upon the bridge.

The waters of the lake remain still, illuminated only by the moon shining softly. At any moment this quietude will be broken, and with the force of lightning and the elegance of the storm, the great dragon will appear.

The waters of the lake open, and from them emerges the majestic creature, a luminous silhouette that snakes through the air. The being the hero sought now reveals itself before him, as majestic as it is neutral. There are no attacks, only existence, fear, but also reverence, filling the hero’s heart.

The hero releases an arrow and obtains the scale. There is no battle beyond that, it almost feels like a gift, a reward for the precision of a well-placed shot.

The dragon remains unmoved, as some orbs begin to detach from its body as its only defense. Yet it almost seems to greet us along its majestic path.

The hero and the dragon meet face to face in the calm of the night. There is no battle, only the greatness of two destinies crossing: one that seeks, the other that simply exists.

The dragon bids farewell, rising into the sky and vanishing among the clouds. The hero watches in silence, knowing that the greatness of this encounter will remain forever etched in his destiny.
