Hello friends and community, without a doubt my first publication of the year had to be in this place, in this community, one of my favorites and to which I dedicate the most time during the week searching for jewels among lights and shadows. I also hope that the New Year celebrations, whatever they may be, have been beautiful and full of hope for a new turn around the sun. The photograph I share with you today is from a few days ago, but I wanted to share it with you.

Hola amigos y comunidad, sin dudas mi primera publicación del año tenía que ser en este lugar, en esta comunidad, de mis favoritas y a las que más tiempo le dedico durante la semana en buscar joyas entre luces y sombras. Espero también que las celebraciones de Año Nuevo, sea cual sea la que celebren, hayan sido hermosas y llenas de esperanzas para una nueva vuelta alrededor del sol. La fotografía que les comparto hoy tiene algunos días, pero deseaba compartirla con ustedes.

I took the photograph at night after the lights had gone out at home. I must confess that in the darkness, the Christmas decoration can be a little scary. The long shadows create shapes that play with our minds. At home we are not much into decorating or celebrating Christmas due to different factors, but there are decorations that accompany us year after year, perhaps tradition, perhaps habit. This was not a good year, but we remain strong and keep moving forward, which is what matters. Besides, we must keep our vision on the future, on what is to come. I wonder if you already know what your goals and objectives are for this new year. I honestly do not have them very clear, but I do hope to continue sharing photographs with you in this community, to keep creating and keep improving. La fotografía la tomé durante la noche después de que las luces se habían apagado en casa. Tengo que confesar que en la oscuridad la decoración navideña puede dar un poco de miedo. Las sombras largas crean formas que juegan con nuestra mente. En mi casa no somos mucho de decorar o celebrar la Navidad debido a distintos factores, pero hay decoración que nos acompaña año tras año, quizás tradición, quizás costumbre. Este no fue un buen año, pero seguimos fuertes y seguimos adelante, que es lo importante. Además, hay que tener la visión en el futuro, en lo que está por venir. Me pregunto si ya sabes cuáles son tus metas y objetivos para este año que empezó. Yo, la verdad, no los tengo muy claros, pero sí espero poder seguir compartiendo fotografías con ustedes en esta comunidad, seguir creando y seguir mejorando.
