Friends, I return today to share a new photograph of a reflection, a more personal one, a photograph of my gaze trapped in a small mirror.

Hola amigos y hola comunidad, primero comienzo deseándoles un lindo día a todos los miembros de la comunidad y a cualquier lector que aparezca en este post. Espero que en los siete días que han pasado desde mi último post en la comunidad hayan tenido una linda semana. Amigos, regreso hoy para compartir una nueva fotografía de un reflejo, una más personal, una fotografía de mi mirada atrapada en un pequeño espejo.

I titled this photo "Mirada" (Gaze), because a simple title is best for a simple photograph: capturing my own gaze in the mirror is just that. I'm not a complete anonymous person on social media, since I have shared personal photos and my face several times when the story calls for it, but I am quite reluctant to take pictures of myself; I've never liked cameras, so even I was surprised that this photograph was the one I selected this week to participate in SMARP. Mirrors are undoubtedly the best reflective surfaces for taking photos for the community. I decided that the photo should be as clean as possible, in black and white, so that the eyes, the main subject, would stand out from the rest, and with the soft morning light, I think black and white was the best choice because it preserves softness.
