Today I’m sharing my entry for this round, and if you’re new here, as always, I invite you to join in. Hola amigos y hola comunidad, espero que estén teniendo un lindo día y una excelente cacería de sombras durante esta semana. Hoy les dejo mi participación para este round, y si eres nuevo por aquí, como siempre, te invito a participar. No pierdan la oportunidad de compartir con la comunidad y volverse adictos a buscar sombras en todos lados.

The shadow I’m sharing today is of a snail, and if you’ve seen my previous entries you know I’m a big fan of snails and seashells. I’m always searching for new ones for my collection. This was the treasure I found these past days. Sadly, the inhabitant of this little house had died, leaving behind its shell. I don’t want to be mistaken, so I won’t affirm it, but I think it might be some species of Polymita or very close to them, colorful land snails with striking patterns that live in the region where I’m from, although Polymitas usually have a rounder shape. This snail caught my attention because of its perfectly conical form and the details in its spirals, which are very peculiar. It’s the first time I’ve seen one like this, so I have no idea what the living snail would look like. Maybe later I’ll do deeper research on the subject. I think the shadow of this snail is very good and quite peculiar.

La sombra que les comparto hoy es de un caracol, y creo que si han visto mis entradas saben que soy un gran fan de los caracoles y conchas marinas, siempre estoy buscando nuevos para mi colección. Este fue el tesoro que encontré en estos días. Tristemente, el habitante de esta casita murió dejando atrás su caracola. No quiero equivocarme, así que no lo afirmo, pero creo que es alguna especie de Polimita o muy cercana a ellas, caracoles de tierra coloridos y con patrones muy llamativos que habitan en la región de donde vivo, aunque las Polimitas casi siempre suelen tener forma más redonda. Este caracol me llamó mucho la atención por su forma perfectamente cónica y los detalles en las espirales, que son muy pero muy peculiares. Es la primera vez que lo veo así, así que no tengo idea de cómo sería el caracol vivo. Quizás más tarde haga una investigación más profunda sobre el tema. Creo que la sombra de este caracol es muy buena y bastante peculiar.
