Gaming is all about Beautiful Scenes

Hello Gamers and Game Lovers,

Welcome to the blog of @southgamer, and at this point, you should know by now that I love to talk about my gaming experience and anything game-related. It is the most relaxing thing for me to do, and my daily stress relief from the daily hustle. So it is no brainer why I got excited when I came across @hivegc Comeback and Contest Announcement. I became superbly excited because it means there will be more activities coming in on the Hivegamming Community before I saw the prizes attached to the contest.

Comeback and Contest Announcement Post

My Entry

My entry for the contest will be focused on the theme: beautiful scenes in a video game, and the game I will be using for this is Valorant. After work yesterday, I decided to play Valorant because it had been a while since I last played the game.

I have been a bit preoccupied with other games like HiveChess on Lichess, Soccer Manager, and Clash of Clans, which are games I can easily play at work during my lunch break or while in transit. Well, this is because these games are very easy to play on my mobile device, unlike other games, where I have to play them on my PS5 or sometimes my PC, depending on which is more convenient for me at home.

From a young age, I have always known that I wasn't a fan of 3D combat games because of the harsh violence or sometimes the loud soundtracks that could be annoying to my ears, especially when they take my character down unexpectedly. Probably that is why I am not much of a Call of Duty fan. But here is the weird thing about me, I enjoy watching my friends play simply because of the trash talk and their emotional reaction when their character gets killed in the game.

Then things became different when I watched some asian gamers on YouTube play Valorant. I did not know the game at the time, but the way they played was quite impressive, and it could rub off on a non-gamer. Fast, agile, and precise. Oh boy! It was fun to watch, and the icing on the cake was that the scenes and characters are cartoon-like, something like the ones in Arcane.

Being a fan of Arcane and being hopeful for another season, I forgot about Valorant being a combat game where you attack the other team. I completed the basic training since I have forgotten how to shoot or even aim due to how long it has been since I last played the game.

I have to say the scenes where the combat takes place are unique because of their 3D animation style, and the shooting and aiming process even makes it easy and user-friendly for all to use. Simply hold the L2 for aiming and the R2 to shoot. You even have the option to pick your character, battle style, and the location setting under the map, which comes with beautiful scenes.

There are various places on the map one could explore if they wish to change the location for the battle. It is all under maps, and there are several places, but I could only explore two places, Ascent and Piazza.

Ascent

This is the first location that is set by default in the game, and even in the game's basic training as well. The environment is unique, more like in Chinatown setting, except there are no humans present. I would say this scene grabbed my focus, but making it more engaging by including humans might be an additional bonus. Even while you are basic training, the hideouts in the scene make it difficult to get spotted by the opposing team.

Piazza

Piazza has an intergalactic kind of location setting, which makes the game more engaging. It feels like I am coming down from a spaceship, or I am in some scene from the Guardians of the Galaxy ship, except I do not have the raccoon and Groot on board. After onboarding, you get to enter a giant company building to is too obvious to miss. I'm guessing that the company is what rules the town. Then you hunt down your opponent after taking a defensive battle stand.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the scene of a game goes a long way to speak about how many details have been put into the creation of the game, making it engaging for gamers. For me, it is what keeps me going and forgetting about my bias against 3D combat games. The idea of making the characters 3D like takes my mind off the too much seriousness that comes when playing combat games. I guess this is why games like Fortnite, Valorant, and Warframe always grab my interest despite my bias against combat games.

Valorant did not only do a good job, but they also made the game user-friendly for all, especially the team battles. By the way, if you are a Valorant gamer, drop your username in the comments, and I will send an invite. I am looking for more Valorant gamers to battle against and alongside other teams. Hopefully even create a Hive Valorant Team like @stayoutoftherz has done with the Blockchain Chess Team.

See you in the next game.

I am @southgamer. Try gaming and thank me later.

I really like how you explained that the beautiful scenes were able to catch your interest even though you don't like the genre of games. That's something I always loved about video games. Even though you might not like the genre, it can sometimes be developed in such a way that still manages to captivate you and even at times change your opinion completely. Good luck in the contest! :)

That's true. The development can lead you to forget what the game is all about which you don't like. Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate the good wish for the contest.

I have not played this video game, but it does look very amazing and fun because of its style, even the floating ruins are very striking.
