IMG_20250925_143116.jpg

Greetings at the beginning of the week, friends of the BEERS community. I'm happy to be back for #BeerSaturday, since I was lucky enough to get new beers in my town, which is great, so today I have participated again in the contest corresponding to week 430. This is week 430 of #BeerSaturday and I would like to invite @marlyncabrera to write a post in any language about beer with at least 3 images.

A few days ago, my husband and I went to a supermarket that had been open for a while in my town, but we hadn't had the interest to visit. However, since we had some banking to do nearby, we ended up there, and it was a good decision because we were able to see products that aren't usually found in other stores. So, we took advantage and bought some new beers, like the one I'm sharing with you today, the Italian beer PERONI, which costs $2.50 a bottle here where I currently live. Let's get to know this beer!

THE BEER / LA CERVEZA

This time, I see that this beer is imported; it's not brewed in Venezuela, but in Italy, its country of origin. It caught my attention that it doesn't have the customs seal I've seen on other imported liquors I've purchased. In fact, I didn't see any imported liquor with the aforementioned seal at that establishment.

As I could see on the neck of the bottle (which displays all the information about the drink), this beer has an alcohol content of 4.7%, with a content of 33 cl. I like that it has icons related to consumption warnings, for example, not for pregnant women, minors, or while driving. It also shows its QR code and barcode, the location where it is manufactured (Rome, Italy), and the best-before date (December 2025). It also has a printed customer service number.

The bottle is amber, which ensures the beverage lasts longer. The design of the front label, as well as the neck label and the cap, is quite classic and beautiful. I really like the predominant red color, contrasting with the white lettering and gold details. I think this beer has undergone few design variations since it was created in 1846.

The day I tried this beer, it was scorchingly hot. Fortunately, it had been in the fridge for several days and was very cold. Upon opening it, I could smell its delicious aroma, with interesting nuances that I couldn't identify. Upon pouring it, I liked the foam, along with its beautiful yellow, almost amber color. What surprised me most was its flavor, which was also somewhat sweet, not as pronounced as another beer I tried months earlier, but it was definitely sweet, flavorful, and deep, although also with a hint of bitterness. This is a lager, that has these characteristics in its flavor. I think this is a beer I'll try again in the future, because I didn't dislike its flavor.

Oh, thanks a lot for the invite 😁 I love beer, so I'd be pleased to participate.

This Peroni looks nice by all accounts. I've never seen it before. I'll try it when I see it.

See you around soon, @sirenahippie. Cheers 🍻

That's a bold tasting indeed :) I wouldn't dare to buy beer from the other edge of the world, let alone bottled.

It's a very interesting flavor, really. Unfortunately, in my country, although they produce the best rums and cocuys in the world, the beer industry is very limited, so I love trying flavors from other countries. Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers!

I had Peroni in Italy a few times, it's a common, rather bland industrial brew :)

I see you like strong flavors. I'm sure you'll like rum and cocuy. When you can, try them.

I've tried a variety of rums, but still, I have a soft spot for good beers - the can have pretty strong, proper flavors too :) Whenever I travel, I visit a microbrewery, and I have never ever been disappointed yet ;)

You're very lucky that there are good craft breweries in your country, and in Europe in general. Unfortunately, in my country, due to the long and intense crisis, almost all microbreweries have disappeared, so we have no choice but to consume the beers we find on the market.

Or to support the few microbreweries that haven't disappeared yet :))

The look in the bottle is different from its complexion inside cup. I like the name Peroni. It sounds like human being name lol

I think the name is an Italian surname, which is why it sounds like a person to you, hahaha.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a nice day.
