The director of this anime is Yamamoto Yuki. The main story is about a boy named Masamune, who lost his beloved girl because he was fat when he was a child. When he grows up, he plans to take revenge by making physical changes, but over time, new conflicts of love and friendship come into his life. It is a fun mix of humor and romance.

Story Summary

Masamune-kun Revenge is a story of revenge and love stated in a word because this is its two characters, in our understanding of the story due to the fact that it is a romantic comedy manga and anime. Masamune Makabe is little fat even as a child and is shy and this contributed to the fact that Aki Adagaki, his favorite girl, was detestable to him as she named him a pig foot. Due to that humiliation and ridicule, the vengeance fire burns the heart of Masamune.

Masamune transforms as he grows up. He appeared fashionable, cool and very handsome now. His sole ambition during that period is that he wants to hold Aki in the trap of love and then dump her by rejecting her. Masamune takes the advantage of his new looks and charisma to get closer to Aki. However, the truth is that Aki is not so simple or delinquent girl, she does have a dark secret and true personality.In the story the relationship between Masamune and Aki slowly evolves. As the plan of vengeance works out, Masamune finds himself doubting his emotions. He understands that perhaps, there is true love and revenge which await him somewhere in the afterlife. Also, there are numerous other charming and humorous characters in the story who enrich the life of Masamune even more.

The revenge theme of the story is made lighter in Masamune-kun Revenge as it is a light-hearted, fun kind of series with maximum sweet romance and humorous elements. It is easy to listen to and watch, and a nice series to observe those people who like stories about love and friendship at school.

My Review

Masamune-kun Revenge is a light hearted romantic comedy series I have watched. It is only necessary to note at the beginning that despite the revenge-related plot, the story is not entirely gloomy and is full of humor and tasty hints of love.I quite enjoyed the character of Masamune. His realistic and touching object of revenge was due to his physical child state and the pain he underwent because other people teased him. The manner in which he transforms in the story, and how he finds out the love of real life it is worth watching.

Even though character of Aki Adagaki appears to be little rough and arrogant in the initial phases, I realized the intent behind it as the plot unfolded. It attributes richness to the series. Their relations and their rises and falls, the scenes of humour and the emotional tension are all brought out very beautifully.The artwork and animation are very good which creates a professional tinge of emotion and comedy in the characters. I liked the anime presentation vitality and the colorful story of the manga very much.

It is hardly a secret that some of the tropes or already depicted elements of romantic comedy are present, but Masamune-kun s Revenge has taken a very unique path with its twists and turns. It is an excellent choice particularly considering that individuals who adore school life romance and friendship and funny relations would prefer to watch the school life.All in all, it is a light comedic series that you might laugh at some instances and at the same time reflect on the combination of revenge and love. Personally, I think that this show works to unwind oneself and it should be recommended to individuals seeking the genre of a new romantic comedy.
