Fairy Tail starts with Lucy Heartfilia. She's a young celestial wizard. She wants to join the famous Fairy Tail guild. Eventually she meets Natsu Dragneel. He's a fire dragon slayer. Along with his adorable flying cat, Natsu drags Lucy into the madness, and it's that is Fairy Tail.

At first, the story feels very simple. Lucy wants some adventure in life. Fairy Tail needs crazy strong wizards, and all together they go on missions. But very soon, you realize Fairy Tail isn’t just about working for money. It’s about protecting people you love. There might be a very big threat, saving your loved ones. But you have to do it. The thing that I loved most is they never give up. They fight with some dark guilds, or ancient demons and maybe sometimes dragons, these guys never give up.

One more thing I love is how this anime balances funny tones or moments with great emotions. In one episode you’re laughing at Natsu and Gray, like little kids. Again in the next episode you’re tearing up because someone’s past feels your heart so deeply. We can take an example of Take Erza. She’s this unstoppable warrior in armor, but...she’s got one of the saddest backstories in the whole show.

It's obvious, everything is not perfect. Fairy Tail has more than 300 episodes. So yeah, there’s some episode which is not that perfect, I mean you can't connect well, that kind of feeling. Because sometimes fights get dragged out longer than needed. And the power of friendship? It’s everywhere. Natsu can basically beat anything if his friends believe in him. For some, that doesn’t feel that relatable or believable.

Now, I want to talk about art and animation. In the early seasons, the animation and art is decent but not mind-blowing. But the fights still feel so great.
