RE: Manual Curator Contest

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

Hi @acidyo, I'd like to top up the delegations pot with a further 5,000 HP, same terms, if you have time to adjudicate/follow etc a further five accounts. Let me know who you would like me to delegate to.

Awesome, any idea how long you can guarantee the delegations for?

You've said 1-10 years? For me, I'd want something about how their accounts are doing - if they are growing nicely, then I'd like to see the delegation moving on to another smaller account. But 10 years is fine, let's see how it goes/grows.

I have been thinking about this quite a lot, especially after I went and looked at the lovesniper posts - very difficult for me to find accounts/posts that were interesting to me. But if we had many manual curators, all building their networks (as I did when I was a small account) - and from the comments, it looks like there is lots of interest from many different kinds/location of accounts - then I think we can build lots of decentralised (hey!) networks that become self-supporting/sustaining.

It would be great if a few other large accounts joined in with the delegations.

(I'll also be writing about this on next Saturday's Saturday Savers Club post).

Yeah just wondering how to best structure this addition of delegations. I think that if they stop doing what the requirements ask we could undelegate them then before a longer period of time.

Cool, I'm happy to go with what works.

(and avoid additional work/hassle).

I'm smiling so hard, I almost want to cry... this is the kind of stuff that makes me know I'm in the right place.

When I first came to St**m paying it forward was a big thing and I certainly benefited. I've been able to accumulate enough for my plans which are anyway about various versions of paying it forward.

What I miss, though, are the inspiring visions of what Hive could be, the alternative economies. Maybe we've got tired (understandable), but it would be good to see them re-emerging.

Meanwhile, if we got together fifty manual curators doing their thing, with larger accounts paying it forward with delegations, that would be fabulous.

Wow! This has really sparked some massive interest.
Exciting to see all these comments (this included, obviously). It's quite a great initiative and with this kind of commitment, it only gets better
