Story # 54 - A Well Wisher
The child's imaginary friend started appearing in photograph
Sam, a 9 year old boy, was a lazy child, both in school and at home. One fine morning, as usual, he woke up to get ready for school. After getting ready he went to his room to pack his bag, but to his surprise it was packed. He snubbed saying may be his mom done it for him.
But when he tried to lift his bag, he felt something heavy on it. He tried again and again, but it didn't move. Fear of some eerie experience, he shouted Mom. Immediately, someone wrote on the mirror - I am here to help and not to harm you.
Seeing this Sam calmed himself and asked the boy through writing on the mirror - Who are you?
He replied - I am a well wisher and 9years old as you.
Sam - How do I trust you, because you are not visible
Well- wisher - Give me a task and I will show you
San thought for sometime and finally, remembered a senior of his, who used to regularly bully him. After a lot of thinking.....
Sam - Can you teach Alan a lesson because he always bullys me
Why not, came the answer
Off they went to school and the moment Alan, a 6th grade, saw Sam, he tried to bully him. But as he was nearing, he felt his trousers were getting loosened. One step and his trousers would be below his knees. So he stepped back. This was repeated each time he neared Sam and finally he stopped his mischievous act.
From then on, the well-wisher was a sense of inspiration for him. With his help he completed his homework, earning a smart boy token, from his teachers. He also became dear to his parents by helping them and taking their advices.
His family felt, the new change in him was a miracle. He made womders in school with the help of his imaginary friend and began an overnight star.
Years passed and one night, his well wisher said its time for me to leave. Though with a heavy heart Sam bid him good bye. He asked for a last wish - if I could ever see you.
The well wisher said look into your personal photo albums, I am there. Saying this he disappeared. That was a dull moment for Sam.
But he ran to fetch his Albums, and saw the strangers face appearing in most photos where Sam is present. He was just similar to Sam. That night Sam wept a lot and fell asleep.
