We must change according to time. As a parent never should we stick on to the formula what I say is right? Sometimes our children who are years younger to us can correct us, because they are more updated than us, with the ever growing technology.. Take it definitely in a positive way.

I remember a time, probably in 1980's, my schooling time, we never had a voice to correct even if we know the other was wrong, be it our parent or teacher.

But today the children come with facts where they can prove, when we go wrong. In simple language, lets stop explaining rather we listen to what is being told. Probably, those are good signs of advancement in learning and imparting.

Another interesting part was in our country education was regarded high than creative skills which meant many of us were never exposed to creative skills, rather to focus on education and placed with a prestigious job. This was way back in 1980's.

Now to a certain extent, everything changed, with children being given importance to choose their career, either a white collar job or a skilled profession.

As a parent I strongly believe, we could be a little strict with this matter. One of the main issue is lack of conversation, which means the children are moving slowly away from us.

While technology keeps growing, simultaneously the distance between parent and his child also keeps growing. Now-a-days, children feel less impprtant ti discuss matters with their parents.

For this, a suitable environment should be created at home. And probably the evening time is the best, when all are at home.

A time should be fixed when all the gadgets should be kept away. And this time could be utilised wisely by families sitting together in the dining table having food and sharing the days happening. This should not be for a day or two, it has to be one of the main routine followed at home.

The outcome would definitely be excellent where a child never hides anything from his parent, making himself a confident and responsible person, consequently reducing a parent's fear to have a watchful eye over him/her every now and then.

Once the child is assured of the fact, of his parents constant support, he never indulges himself in any act that hurts his/her parents.

Engaging and helping children in their little work will definitely motivate the child to help their parent's in their daily chores.

Our words and support, is the strength of a child.
