The original idea was for the character to try to grab the fruit, but I felt that this pose was too similar to the reference, so I wanted to create a pose where he was about to fall or was in danger.
When I was sketching, I kept changing things without a base, haha, which is probably why you can see some mistakes. After a while, this was the result. Now all that's left is to create the black line art.

La idea original era el personaje tratando de tomar la fruta, pero sentía que esta pose es muy parecida al de la referencia y quería hacer una pose donde esté por caerse o de riesgo.
Al momento de hacer el boceto fui modificando sin una base jaja creo que por eso se ven ciertos errores. despues de un rato este fue el resultado ya solo queda crear el lineart en color negro.

We apply the base color. I want to leave a backlight or visual contrast in the apple area to draw attention to that area.
This character reminds me of those videos where monkeys do funny things. That's kind of what I wanted to portray here.

Aplicamos el color base, quiero dejar una contraluz o contraste visual en la zona de la manzana para llamar la atención en esa zona.
Este personaje me recuerda a esos videos donde los monitos hacen cosas comicas algo asi queria retratar aqui.

Using leaf brushes and shades of blue and white, we create the first layer of the background, followed by other layers with the same brush, but with shades of green and yellow.
It's also great for adding lighting details to the wood, as it gives that effect of light between the leaves.

Usando pinceles de hojas y tonos azules y blanco hacemos la primera capa del fondo, seguida de otras capas con el mismo pincel, pero con tonos verdes y amarillos.
tambien para agregar detales de iluminacion en la madera queda genial pues da ese efecto de luz entre hojas.

For the apple, I wanted to give it special detail, so I used slightly softer tones to create a kind of striped effect, and also added a few white droplets at the end.
I finished it off by applying a strong light as a shine.
I really liked how the apple turned out.
To finish, I added the rest of the details to the character, and all that's left is to correct the color tones.

Para la manzana quise darle especial detalle use tonos un poco mas suaves para hacer una especie de rayado, tambien al final unas gotitas blancas.
lo finalicé aplicando una luz fuerte como brillo.
la verdad me gusto muchisimo como quedo la manzana.
para terminar agregue el resto de detalles en el personaje y solo queda corregir los tonos decolores.
