The original idea was this: she was supposed to be completely relaxed, but I don't know, I actually think she looks more like a shooting victim... haha, and that is far from the idea of peace and relaxation I want to convey. That’s why I changed a few things in the final sketch; her hand being up gives her a vulnerable touch, and her gaze gives her an innocent one. Finally, we did the line art using one of the new brushes; honestly, I liked how this line art turned out. I think I’ll keep using this brush for a while in the future until I feel like I should change it—sorry, I'm just like that, I always feel like changing things.

La idea original fue esta: que ella estuviera completamente relajada, pero no sé, realmente creo que parece más bien la víctima de un tiroteo... jaja, y esto se aleja de la idea que quiero transmitir de paz y relajación; por lo cual, cambié algunas cosas en el boceto final. Su mano arriba le da un toque vulnerable y la mirada le da un toque inocente. Finalmente, hicimos el lineart usando uno de los pinceles nuevos; la verdad, me gustó el resultado de este lineart, creo que seguiré usando este pincel en un futuro por algún tiempo hasta que sienta que debo cambiarlo. We added the base color, starting with the background. I did this part several times; I’m showing you the final version, but I couldn't find something I liked 100%. My intention was to create a flat background and use the new grass brush over it. For the rest of the character, I used a color palette from previous times I’ve drawn her.

Agregamos el color base, empezando por el fondo. Esta parte la hice varias veces (les dejo la definitiva), pero no conseguía algo que me agradara al 100%. Mi intención era hacer un fondo plano y, sobre él, usar el pincel de hierba nuevo. En el resto del personaje, usé una paleta de colores propia de otras veces que dibujé a este personaje.

Here we can see how I made a basic shape for the background and then, following a color pattern, I used the grass brush. I thought it would pick up the background color, but no; you have to choose it yourself. Even so, this was the result. I did the hair in two parts: first, I detailed the part behind the body and then the part in front, in order to seek a certain ease and experiment to see if it's easier or yields a better result. The character's skin doesn't have much of a mystery to it; I know the palms of the hands should be a bit lighter—as it happens to us brown-skinned people—but I'll leave it a uniform color.

Aquí podemos apreciar cómo hice una forma básica del fondo y luego, siguiendo un patrón de colores, pasé el pincel de hierba. Yo creía que este tomaba el color del fondo, pero no: tienes que elegirlo tú mismo. Aun así, este fue el resultado. El cabello lo hice en dos partes: primero, le di detalles a la parte que está detrás del cuerpo y, posteriormente, a la que está al frente; esto para buscar cierta facilidad y experimentar si es más fácil o da un mejor resultado. La piel del personaje no tiene mucho misterio; sé que la palma de las manos debería ser un poco más clara —nos pasa a las personas de piel morena—, pero la dejaré de un color uniforme.

n the case of the clothes, I only had to add highlights and the shadows came out on their own since I was using a dark base color; the weapon took a while—honestly, I spent a long time trying to make it as similar to the reference as possible.

En el caso de la ropa, solo tuve que darle luz y las sombras salieron solas, ya que estaba usando un color base oscuro; el arma se llevó un buen rato —la verdad, estuve un buen tiempo tratando de que fuera lo más parecido posible a la de la referencia—.

As final steps, we add details to the eyes very calmly, add highlights, and correct all the colors with another program. Actually, I just turned up the general contrast a bit more to emphasize that the sun is hitting her body softly.

Como pasos finales, damos detalles a los ojos con mucha calma, agregamos brillos y corregimos todos los colores con otro programa. En realidad, solo le subí un poco más el contraste general para resaltar que el sol está golpeando su cuerpo suavemente.
