I tried to create a pose that conveys a certain movement of the character jumping out of the water. I also thought about highlighting the character much more with a very large sun in the background. Once the idea was clear, we made the sketch and corrected certain details, such as the size of the character. Finally, we did the line art with the same brush as the previous drawing.

Traté de crear una pose donde se transmita que hay cierto movimiento del personaje saliendo del agua en un salto. También pensé en resaltar mucho más al personaje con un sol muy grande de fondo; una vez clara la idea, hacemos el boceto y corregimos ciertos detalles como el tamaño del personaje. Para finalizar, hacemos el lineart con el mismo pincel que el dibujo anterior.

We applied the base color; this part was completely experimental, which is why it feels as if it breaks the style I had been following. I tried not to take anything from my saved or previous palettes and instead create something new from my imagination. This was the result.

After applying the base color to the background, we blurred it with a texture brush while respecting certain areas. We also added more details to the water; I decided on this when I finished the sky, as I liked the unstylized result. I also applied some floating ice particles, which I think adds a bit more drama to the jump. With all this ready, we can move on to detailing the character.

Luego de aplicar el color base en el fondo, difuminamos con un pincel de textura respetando ciertas zonas; también aplicamos más detalles en el agua. Esto lo decidí cuando terminé el cielo, pues me gustó el resultado sin estilizar. También apliqué algunas partículas de hielo flotando; creo que le da un poco más de dramatismo al salto. Con todo esto listo, podemos darle detalle al personaje.

I made some details by applying the motion blur effect, such as the water where the character comes out, as well as some highlights on the character. To finish this part, I added more details over all the layers and corrected some areas that were still missing color.

Algunos detalles los hice aplicando el efecto de desenfoque de movimiento, como en el agua de donde sale, y también en algunos brillos del personaje. Para finalizar esta parte, agregué más detalles sobre todas las capas y corregí un poco algunas zonas que faltaban por colorear.

I made a corrected version of the colors in Corel, but I didn't end up liking this version, so I discarded it. Regardless, I'll leave it here for you to see.
