Learning To Relax Again

When I was much younger, whenever I felt stressed, once I lay down on the bed to sleep, sleep would come to me easily and I would sleep like a baby, waking up refreshed and ready to face another day. But lately, whenever I'm stressed, instead of me feeling tired enough to sleep, my mind will stay awake wondering.

Last Saturday was one of those days. I had a handful of activities from morning till evening. At night fall, I longed for a deep, peaceful rest because Sunday was already packed with another host of activities waiting for me. So I wanted to sleep well so that the muscles on my face would feel relaxed so that my makeup will sit well on my face. 🤪🤪🤪

I lay in bed waiting for sleep to come, but to no avail. My mind kept moving from one thought to another. After some time, I decided to take a bottle of Guinness stout.

Guinness is a well known dark stout beer, originally brewed in Dublin using water, hops, yeast, and roasted malted barley. It has a coffee like flavor, it's creamy. It is produced in 50 countries and sold in 120 countries. It comes in 3 sizes, small stout that comes in 325ml, medium stout 500ml and big stout 600ml all contains 7.5 percent of alcohol, though the alcoholic contents varies in countries, but Nigeria has the highest alcoholic content.

So after taking it, it served its purpose that night. My body relaxed, and I slept like a baby, even though I woke up at intervals to ease myself, I preferred it that way because I was able to fall back asleep immediately each time. By morning, I felt much better. I am not saying, this is my habit whenever I'm stressed, no no. It was one of those nights when I felt like taking a bottle, especially since it has been a while since I last had beer.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.
This is The Beer Saturday Challenge week 451 and I would like to invite @omachi213 @iquo @ozibaby @amara24 to write a post in any language about beer with at least three pictures.
