Change Is Constant

Some people will say, "That's who I am, I can't change."they use this phrase to justify habits, attitudes, or behaviours they feel are part of their personality. However, life itself shows us many examples that change is indeed possible. While change is constant in life, I also believe that change is a choice that a person can decide to make.

People often say that people don't really change, that deep inside they remain the same. Others believe otherwise, that change is the only constant thing in life. When we think about it carefully, both ideas seem to carry some truth. Humans grow through experience and reflections, yet some of our core traits can appear stable over time. But the question still remains, can individuals truly transform who they are, or do they simply adjust their behaviour as they grow older?

Let's answer the question with some examples. We sometimes hear stories of a thief who later becomes a pastor or a person who once lived a destructive life but later becomes a source of encouragement to others. What happened in such cases? Transformation.

Another example, of a Country that struggles under poor leadership can dramatically improve when better leadership takes over. What changed? Policies and directions has changed, and the end results now would be completely different. My point, if systems, nations can transform through the right influence, who are individuals that can not experience meaningful change - Transformation.

Let's take nature as a case study, nature has given us a beautiful illustration of transformation. A caterpillar slowly becomes a butterfly. The creature that once crawled on the leaves eventually spreads it's wings and flies. This reminds us that growth and change are part of life.

In a similar way, many people experience deep spiritual guidance. The powerful message of truth from God's word has helped many individuals transform their lives. We often read or hear about people who were once feared in the neighbourhoods, those who were violent, involved in militant political groups, or constantly carried weapons. Some even kept and display cabinet in their homes filled with firearms. Yet after listening to Bible teachings and reflecting on them, their lives changed. Instead of keeping weapons, such person turned his firearms cabinet into a small library filled with literature that teaches about the hope of life in God's new order.

Stories like these shows that humans may have certain natural tendencies but they are not permanently trapped by them. With the right influence, reflection, and determination and the personal choice to change, people can experience real transformation, not only in their behaviour but in their outlook, values, and in their purpose in life.

In conclusion, change is constant, total transformation is possible. Of course, only when we choose change, then it will change who we are or whom we become.

Thank you for your time. I really appreciate it, see you in the next contest.

I don't believe that someone can not change, but just like you mentioned it's a thing of the mind, determination will help the person to seek support and learn from other people and do better.

I believe we all are capable of change, we just need to be willing enough to learn.
