My Splinterlands Art Contest Entry / Giam Root

Hello! After a few months, I'm participating again. This time I am participating in the contest with my drawing of Giam Root. It is one of my favorite earth cards. This Splinterlands character is like a guardian who protects his territory. Giam Root represents the strength and endurance of nature, and his presence inspires confidence in his allies. His body is covered in bark and branches, and his eyes shine like a light that reflects his connection to the earth. He has features reminiscent of an ancient and wise tree. Giam Root is a Legendary card and essential to the game, making it very valuable and powerful. It is a essential in the earth splinter.

Giam Root is a card I use in my high mana battles in Frontier. He is a ranged attacker with good health and speed and the ability to strengthen. It is ideal for a team looking to win long battles. A week ago, I upgraded it to level 2. His bloodline is treefolk. its ranged attack of 2, speed of 3, and health of 11, I'm having fun playing with this card in Splinterlands. This card is useful for me to play in the Modern format too. With its strengthen ability, all your unit monsters gain +1 health. I mostly use it in collateral damage, poison and earthquake battle rules.

Giam Root is seen in this position with a spear in his hand, ready to attack, and is staring at his target like a hunter. He is a legendary monster who supports his Splinter Earth team.

First I drew to Giam Root with my pencil 2B. I am shaping the drawing according to the reference model. In this part, I drew on one side and used the eraser when I made a mistake. The good thing is that you gradually improve with practice, as you correct and replace things as necessary.

While I was drawing, I realized that this character looks like a human with broccoli hair. He is also tall and does not go unnoticed. On the other hand, when I made this drawing, my pencil was wearing down, so I used my pencil sharpener and continued with this part of my work.

I started to paint with colored pencils. The trunk of this giant tree called Giam Root is brown, and the leaves are green. His eyes and a kind of mouth are yellow. I painted the spear he holds in his hand light purple. I also used a pencil sharpener for this part because my colored pencil was a little worn out.

On his shoulders and legs, he has something like a large thorn that I painted light purple. Here, I just needed to paint the legs, the background, and the details. In this part, I pressed the colors gently on the inside, and on the raised parts and around the edges, I pressed harder so that the colors would show up more clearly.

Then I painted the rest and the background with the meadow and the sky blue. I also painted the details of her body, giving more shape to her tree trunk and the tones of her colors. I made this background to be like a battlefield where long-range attacks can be made. This time, I kept the background simple.

I enjoyed making this drawing, from the beginning to the end of the process. It's de-stressing, fun, and a good hobby that has kept me focused throughout this process. This work took me approximately 6 to 8 hours to complete.
