Ingredients...
Herring Fish 250g.
1 Teaspoon of chili powder.
1 Teaspoon of Pepper powder.
1/2 Teaspoon of turmeric powder.
A little crushed garlic and ginger.
Curry leaves.
Salt as needed.
2 Teaspoon of crushed chili powder.
3 Tablespoon of Tomato sauce.
3 of Green chili peppers pod.
2 onions.
3 fish chili pods.
2 Tomato.
Coconut oil for frying.

The order of preparation.
Step 1:-
First, I finely chopped the onions, capsicum, green chilies, and tomatoes. Then, I ground the ginger and garlic into a smooth paste.

Step 2:-
Next, I washed and cleaned the herring fish, then cut it into pieces. I added salt powder and pepper powder, and mixed everything well to coat the fish evenly.

Step 3:-
Next, I took a pan and added some coconut oil, then lightly fried the fish pieces until they turned golden. After that, I removed the excess coconut oil from the pan.

Step 4:-
Now I added the ginger and garlic paste to the same pan. Then I mixed in the onions, tomatoes, curry leaves, green chilies, chili powder, salt, and tomato sauce and stirred everything well. After about 2 minutes of cooking, I removed it from the stove.

Once prepared, this Devilled Herring Fish turns out beautifully aromatic and rich in flavor — perfect with a warm plate of rice, fried rice, or even bread. The combination of crispy texture and spicy-sweet sauce makes it an unforgettable dish for both family meals and special gatherings. Try it once, and it will surely earn a permanent place in your recipe collection!
