PhotoFeed Contest - Street Photography Round 132 ~ Schoolchildren in Tangse in the Lens of Street Photography
Hello....
In the PhotoFeed Contest - Street Photography Round 132 organized by @photofeed, I tried to share photos of school children in Tangse through the lens of street photography. Street photography always has its own appeal because it is able to capture moments of everyday life as they are without engineering and full of stories. This photo I took in a corner of a village in Tangse sub-district, Pidie district, Aceh shows the typical atmosphere of the interior of Aceh combined with the simple activities of school children.
The photo's background is dominated by an old white house with green windows and a rusty zinc roof, indicating the building's age. The house stands amidst the green expanse of mountains surrounding Tangse, a district known for its cool air and pristine natural scenery. To the right of the house, the red and white flag flies, symbolizing pride in identity and unity.
In the foreground, three female students in scout uniforms are the main subjects. One sits on the grass holding a cell phone, while the other two walk side by side up a small path. Their relaxed demeanor unconsciously forms part of the strong visual composition, the brown color of the scout uniforms blending harmoniously with the greenery and contrasting with the white of the house behind them.
This photo not only captures the activities of schoolchildren but also tells the story of peaceful rural life, the values of togetherness and simplicity. There is no hustle and bustle of traffic or tall buildings—just harmony between humans and nature. This is the power of street photography in remote areas, capturing everyday life that may be ordinary to locals, but valuable and inspiring to outsiders.
This portrait also reminds us that education in areas like Tangse goes hand in hand with local values, a close connection to nature, and a rich culture. Through one simple snapshot, we are invited to experience a serene, colorful, and meaningful atmosphere.
That's all I can share for now. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you very much for reading this post. Thank you, and thank you.
The picture is very natural. It captured school children, green vegetations and a school building. This is good.
