PhotoFeed Contest - Portrait Photography Round 134 ~Kids Have Fun Participating in the August 17th Contest
Hello....
In the PhotoFeed Portrait Photography Contest Round 134 hosted by @photofeed, I tried to share photos of the excitement of children participating in the August 17th competition. Every August 17th, Indonesians celebrate Independence Day with joy. Various traditional competitions are held to enliven the atmosphere, ranging from sack races, climbing a greased pole to unique competitions that always bring laughter. One of the exciting moments is seen in the photo I shared, when a group of children participated in a competition using plastic buckets on their heads.

In this competition, participants wear buckets with holes cut into them like hats and attempt to catch objects suspended above them. Their faces are both serious and joyful, as if they are striving to win a simple yet meaningful challenge.
Behind them, the spectators cheer and laugh, creating a lively atmosphere typical of village celebrations. Although simple, competitions like these always bring joy and strengthen bonds between residents.
More than just games, August 17th competitions are an expression of gratitude for the nation's independence and a way for children to learn sportsmanship, cooperation, and togetherness. They not only compete to win, but also enjoy moments of laughter with their peers.
From the children's enthusiastic, innocent faces, we can see that celebrating independence is not only about history, but also about maintaining the spirit of unity and simple joys within the community.
That concludes my post for this time. I hope you enjoy it.
