From TV to Real Life: Survival Lessons I Carry Within | LOH #253

Since my adulthood I have been watching a survivor in the wild and he is very famous, his name is Bear Grylls. He is the same age as me, I used to watch him out of motivation. I wanted to go in the wild forest and hunt like him. He has taught me many things, he is fearless and one of the most talented man in the world according to me. I respect him a lot and still now at the age of 51 I am a huge fan of him.

There is a channel called "Discovery" I used to watch the show "Wild vs Man" on television and I used make time only to watch him. Even my wife disliked that I used to watch some terrible things. Because she thought he is very wild, as he eats whatever he finds to survive. He has taught the people how to survive when there's no water or food. How to live in the wild, he has given every tips and tricks. They are not easy decision he has made hard decisions as well.

I enjoyed watching him hunting, eating bugs and all. It does disgust me but he's doing it for us. For the audience to teach them how to survive. So, I used to imagine if I am lost in jungle or somewhere when there's no signal, I know that I can survive it. I can make it to few months or maybe more because I have learned every skill through watching. Even though practically I have done nothing but at least I have the knowledge of it. So, you can say that Bear Grylls is a inspiration for me.

Also, if it's zombie apocalypse then I can survive that too. Because I have watched so many zombie related movies. I know how the infection is done I know what to do in this kind of situations because of these movies I have educated myself very well for the survival. I actually like to watch survival type of movies or series the most because I want to enhance my knowledge.

As you guys know it's the survival of the fittest, so I think I am strong enough not only physically but also mentally. The person with knowledge is capable of anything. With my knowledge I can survive at any place. But people without any knowledge are the weakest. Even if they are physically strong, they will eventually lose. I feel so proud of myself that I know the tactics.

I think people should start watching or reading about survival, so that it can be fruitful if anything happens in the future. In conclusion, I know as long as I am breathing I will last long in a survivor-man type situation, I can protect others as well.

I can't start a fire with two pieces of wood if my life depended on it. And that's why I stock Starting Rods, lighters and candles as a part of my Emergency preparations. In my region is an earthquakes zone. I hope I do not experience an earthqauke, especially in a Canadian winter.
Thanks for sharing @rayhanhiveman
