Exactly. They must have the emotional and psychological maturity necessary to be able to create a stable relationship with their partners.

caused by obsession...selfishness... and insecurities

I would never have thought that these could be other reasons why someone might believe they own someone. I always thought it happened because they learned it from their environment.
