Here are the official results for this run of Sketch Quest December

We had a smaller group this time, but the quality and the winter cozy vibes are truly wonderful and inspiring. It's clear that the cold weather is sparking some serious inspiration in the community.

1st Place: @steempampanga Cozy Window Display

This entry took the top spot because of the technical effort and the beautiful atmosphere.

• Creativity (40%): Great use of a three-section composition to tell a full story of a winter street.
• Inspiration Story (30%): Very honest and relatable. The artist explained the struggle with the curved windows and the patience needed to nail the details.
• Effort (30%): Exceptional. The attention to the merchandise on the shelves and the warm glow from the windows shows a high level of dedication.
• Prize: 3 HIVE

2nd Place: @pepijin Kids Hauling the Tree

This one grabbed 2nd place for its unique style and storytelling.

• Creativity (40%): The memory sketch style with loose lines and earthy tones (reds, olives, browns) felt very original and artistic.
• Inspiration Story (30%): Lovely story about the excitement of getting a tree and adding the little bird to watch the chaos.
• Effort (30%): Strong. While the lines are loose, the color palette and the sense of movement in the blizzard show a lot of thought.
• Prize: 2 HIVE

3rd Place: @shookt Snowy Trees

A beautiful, moody piece that really captured a specific feeling.

• Creativity (40%): Great job finding beauty in lonely and ghastly trees. The contrast of the dark branches against the soft, thick snow was very effective.
• Inspiration Story (30%): Very human. We loved the mention of almost losing interest but pushing through to finish the sketch.
• Effort (30%): Good. The texture of the snow and the perspective of the fence and house in the back created a very quiet, immersive scene.
• Prize: 1 HIVE

Honorable Mention: @mabalacat Festive Toy Display

This was such a joyful and warm entry The colors are bright and festive, perfectly capturing that longing for the holiday spirit. It was a very close call for 3rd place, especially with the detail on the Santa doll. Keep up that awesome energy
