Brother Bernard owns a motorcycle and he happens to be a huge fan of the famous series franchise “fast and furious”. His favorite actor happens to be vin diesel who’s the main cast of the franchise and if you’re a fan as well, you’ll attest to the crazy and mind blowing stunts and tricks he does perform in the fast and furious movie, I never knew vin diesel was brother Bernard’s role model. Brother Bernard has always wanted to be the vin diesel of our time despite all my efforts to advise him that it was all acting and scripting in the movie.

One Saturday Afternoon, for the first time ever I and brother Bernard was set to hit the road heading for our colleague’s wedding ceremony many miles away which was about an hour drive from our house. We decided to use his motorcycle to reduce the cost of transportation but I never knew what was coming.

After dressing up and about leaving the house, Bernard hissed and said “I forgot something”. I was thinking he left his wallet or probably cell phone so I waited patiently to my greatest surprise he came out with hand gloves?? “Brother Bernard, are we going for combat wrestling?” I asked with my mouth wide open. He replied, “it’s going to be a rough ride” and I almost fainted. At this point I surrendered my life into the hands of the almighty God because I felt I was close to the end already.

10 minutes in the journey my well ironed clothes were all lined up behind us like a countries flag raised forth onto a mighty hurricane. We were traveling thousands of miles per hour at a great speed that the wind nearly unbuttoned my shirt. I put my head in front of his neck as I wanted to whisper to him that the wind was about to carry me off the motorcycle, “Broo….” Was my first attempted word before wind took saliva out of my mouth and drew a straight line down to my left ear and that is how I never said a word again. The scariest part was how we shoved around a huge truck carrying tons of goods along the way and how Brother Bernard on a little motorcycle was threatening to deal with the truck driver and push the truck off the road if the driver misbehaves again.

20 minutes later I could barely see the road because we were moving so fast, the wind didn’t allow my eyelids to open up my eyes and i began wondering how brother Bernard was able to see the road while driving then I noticed he was driving with his eyes closed too due to wind pressure. I put my head down and began saying my last prayers then suddenly the motorcycle stopped I knew we finally hit a big truck or tree while driving and probably died so quick that we couldn’t feel the impact. “we are here” he said and when I lifted my head up hoping to see angels on white garments, I saw people well dressed in a wedding ceremony. I felt so relieved, an hour journey was covered in 20 minutes that means we were 3 times faster than a car with just a motorcycle. I turned back and stared at Brother Bernard and his motorcycle then I shrug and shake my head, “what an unbelievable day it was…”.
