The Joy of Travelling With Family/Friends ~ LOH #238

Ever since I was a young girl, I have known the fun of travelling with someone, be it with family, friends or school's excursions with my classmates at school. I love the togetherness, the shared moments, the games and whatever is being included. The enjoyable part was that while we were still on the road, we would all sing together, shout, and just talk about random and funny stuff. It always ends with amazing memories to look back on.

Growing up, I have never had to travel alone except with my family. We always go home every December and the thought that we were travelling would fill our hearts with joy and happiness because we would be having fun in Dad's car and definitely would see lots of amazing things on the way.

Mom would have woken up very early on the day we'd be travelling and would prepare some meal, packed in a big cooler because she never loved the idea of us buying things on the way. While on the road, we would sing songs and flashback to some old stories that would make everyone laugh, and for the 9 hours plus on the road, we never got bored except when we needed to sleep, and once we woke up, we resumed back to talking till we got home.

As a young child, travelling together was fun and still is, even though I hardly travel with friends or any of my family anymore except I go alone which sometimes, I feel like having someone seated next to me so we could do things together, like watch movies, talk about stuff in our lives, remember our funny experiences and laugh over it in the bus. It was always a bored time when I travel.

The last time I travelled with my childhood friend, though it was just an hour's trip to the event, we enjoyed it. Even those on the bus with us were just looking at us and listening to our stories. We felt so alive together and it was a memorable one for us. She has a little son but decided to drop him off at her mother's place so we won't be disturbed, especially since it's been a long time since we've seen each other, and that little time should be meaningful.

Another time I travelled was with my big sister some years ago, who ordered an Uber to take us on a trip that lasted more than 12 hours. For those hours, it felt like the journey should continue because of lots of stories my sister had to share with me. The Uber driver wasn't a stranger, too, and we vibed well together. At the end of the trip, because he had to take us back to my sister's place that same day after visiting our grandma, the driver confessed he enjoyed the trip with us, and that made his day.

I prefer travelling with either friends or family, but when it calls for me to go alone, I have no choice. I will always choose that any day because of the benefits I get from it, especially when I go with friends where we learn new things and connect better.

Amazing 😍 post.
As for me I so much don't like traveling either with families or friends. Or should I say I hate seating in one spot for hours it's just so boring😔🫠
