WOW, who would've guessed - a guy who isn't into rock - able to win this contest.

LoL yeah, ¡WOW! :D

But in all truth, the contest actually wasn't about Rock music by itself. But rather about show deep attention to details, having an impeccable good memory and having nurtured friendships over the years with enough loyalty and affection as to have developed a great intuition and empathy as to be able to guess with big accuracy what they (others) really like the most in Rock music, although rock music was not your thing. Rare qualities in which you have excelled brilliantly.

Regarding the number of contestants: The state rock music is in these days is reflected by the number of Hiveans entering and being able to guess their way to correct answers, I suppose.

Absolutely and yeah I agree. In my opinion the population of Hive is still too young and therefore they know too little about what an old Cranky Gandalf like me can ask them about anything. They have not yet lived and suffered enough. Especially if it's to win a prize. Since no one wants to look bad or be publicly ridiculed. A curious ailment that most young people seems to suffer from today. Although I hope and aspire that with age their ailments will heal and they will be able to give more than three fucks if they are right or wrong about anything, like we old people usually do.

I must admit, I find it bold of these young lads to go deep into rock when rock is known way more in the expression "sex, drugs and rock & roll" than for the music itself.

Yeah, that's precisely the phenomenon with these virtuous young guys. Although in my opinion, when one is truly authentic, skilled, self-confident and charismatic, one is not get carried away so easily by expressions, taglines or slogans. They just limit themselves to keep exploring and being themselves more and more with great success. And to better illustrate what I'm talking about, let me share this video with you, which you will find very revealing about this phenomenon.

Just checked Spotify. Amazing the amount of streams they have. Above 300M for their most-streamed track: "Highway Tune" and just shy of 4M monthly listeners. You are not alone, that is for sure 🙂

LoL yeah, we ol'farts live longer these days. And perhaps that explains the very high audience they have achieved so far. And maybe also because we old folks are more loyal to quality when it reminds us of happier times. So, 4 million monthly listeners who have more things to remember than most people doesn't sound so far-fetched to me. Haha, yeah, I'm not alone indeed!

In comparison, Charlotte de Wit, classified as the 'best' Techno-DJ in the world - with Techno being mainstream these days - has 2.2M monthly listeners with her most streamed track not reaching 100M. Since Techno is mainstream; Gazillion people going to festivals just for her; Her performing on festivals such as Tomorrowland with 1M+ tickets sold per event; It is specifically remarkable Greta van Fleet attracts such an audience.

I'm afraid I'm not very familiar with Charlotte de Wit's music and material, although I've certainly heard her name before, and as you know, my musical tastes are quite eclectic. I will try to listen to some of her sets in the next few days to see what's all about her EDM stuff.

But yeah, musically today everything happens in very different tribes, even more exclusive, different and distinctive tribes than in the past. That's why in this new culture of DJs and electronic music as such, there are so many diverse and varied musical genres.

Anyways, thank you for this challenging challenge. Was great fun to enter. It made me listen to all the tracks you shared, and let me watch the interview in its full length, which in itself enriched me overall.

It's always a great pleasure for me to feed you and nurture you with new things that you probably wouldn't consume otherwise, my friend. The feedback and good vibe is mutual, brother. And when that happens, the reciprocal enrichment knows no bounds.

And last but not least. Thank you very much for your wonderful gesture, your recognition, and your great generosity. It's highly and very well appreciated buddy. In this way, it's always a great pleasure and a great joy to launch contests on Hive.
