Show Me A Photo Contest Round 260/A lone black ibis

Greetings friends of this beautiful bird-loving community. It is a pleasure to participate in this contest.

This week in the photo contest Show Me a Photo #270, the challenge brought to us by @nelinoeva is Photos of birds you see and photograph most often, and the Black Ibis is, I think, the bird I have photographed and shared most often in this contest.

The reason is that the Black Ibis (Phimosus infuscatus) is a very common bird where I live, even though it also lives in more natural environments. However, as I have already mentioned, the Black Ibis has ventured into urban areas in search of food.

The other reason is that it is easier to photograph, it is not easily frightened, and it is a beautiful bird with its black and green plumage and dark pink legs and beak.

And coincidentally, this morning when I arrived at the park where I often go, I saw a black ibis, but this time it was alone, as they usually travel in flocks, in an area where a puddle of water had formed.

I think it was because of the heat, as it was almost eleven in the morning and the search for food kept it there. I liked seeing it in this more natural environment. I also saw many canaries. I tried to photograph them, but they flew quickly to the trees when I approached.

I took several pictures of her as she walked in the water with her long legs.

I took several pictures because she only moved away a little when I approached.

At this time of year, many trees lose their leaves and are in their fruiting period, like this flamboyant tree where the ibis flew and perched on one of the branches.

I stayed for a while watching it and enjoying the scenery and the singing of the birds that have a protected environment in this place. When I left, it was still perched on the branch.

Thank you for coming this far, and I hope you enjoyed the photographs.

What a unique looking bird. I like the shot on the tree with the long fruits that resemble its bill.

I also love this bird. The tree is a flamboyan tree with red and orange flowers. It produces quite a lot of fruit. What a great comparison, I liked it 🤗

Thanks @litgurú
