Mr. T, the duck version

Another nice free theme for this week's SMAP!

I normally try to post about "wilder" species, but the domestic duck that prompted me to do this post about this speces had enough of a tough look for me!

Maybe because of the cool mohawk? :)

It's hard to know the exact species of domestic ducks, especially with different breeds and hybridization, so I'll leave it like this. But no arguing how how cute this guy was. He was contemplating the lake with his lady, and didn't seemed to please when I wanted to enjoy the view as well.

Well, you can't blame me for sitting for a moment; I agree with mr. duck, the scenery was beautiful! Nevertheless, he faced me as I sat, and since I didn't move, he decided to take a closer look.

I was unsure if he was curious about me or just thinking "dafuq are you doing sitting there? This is MY lake! I'm gonna peck you!" He did tried to block my view...

... withouth success, of course! But at least got close enough for some quality photos!

The angry look seem to vanish a little bit here; he probably decided I wasn't a threat, and also that I wasn't going nowhere, so he slowly walked away to meet mrs. duck. She was staying further back, and I ended up not taking photos from the couple, the male definitely got all the attention. And no pecking was done... although I could swear it crossed his mind!

I found some of his cousins at this city park's entrance, during the preening session.

But the mohawk male stole the show here. And the lake backdrop just made the photos better!

This is simply display of nature in its originality. You capture each moment of the duck well. There's nothing sweet more than exploring nature as it gives the kind of feeling that is beyond this world.
