A tradition that means a lot to me
A tradition that means a lot to me is the new year celebration.
Before my grandmother died it has been a tradition that we celebrate new year on the 1st of January of every year and when she died it has not changed. It's always a big celebration for the whole family, the extended families everybody and we do invite some other people too to join us to celebrate. It's always fun and interesting.

One thing I like about this tradition is that we get to see ourselves and it makes us come together every year and to know our extended families, aunts, uncles and our cousins. Sometimes we do some interesting games to spice up the day and all. It a once in a year thing but that day means a lot to me and my family members.
Let talk about the new cloth we wear that day. When we were still young we always look forward to see the clothes our mother will buy for us for the new year celebrations. The foods, nice jollof rice well cooking and delicious, the meat is not left out.
Another thing I like about this particular day is the part were the drummers will come and sing and we will all be called to come and dance with our grandma.
When my grandmother died her children continued the celebrations because it has became a tradition before she died and they do'nt want it to end after her death. One of her son's took upon himselve to make the day a different dimension so he turned it into a big party a year after he's mother died. Others has no choice than to take part in the celebration because they dont want it to cause seperation between them and there children in the future. All of them just see it has a tradition that can't be changed.
When I grow older I will like to pick a particular festive period has a day of celebration too because I see it has a way of connecting everyone in the family together by getting to know everyone, collecting each others number the family bond will be built, it will get stronger and it will remain forever.

This is a cool tradition indeed. It might seem like a general tradition since many families gather together during the new year but I like how you shared your grandma's love for the occassions 👍
