Some advice for someone leaving school

Hello everyone, it's been a while I posted In this community. This week theme is, what advice will you give to someone leaving school today?

In my final year in secondary school, i failed waec and jamb and i had to resit . While i was at home waiting for the next exam i didnt do anything i was just sleeping and waking up everyday till the days came. there are some advice I wish I was given while waiting but unfortunately I wasn't told and i had no knowledge of them.

The first thing I wish I knew was to learn a skill, It is very important to learn a skill and try to be perfect to some extent. Acquiring a skill pays a lot, and it a good side hustle in the university..
If I had know about learning a skill I would have done that because it pays in school and after school before getting a job i can continue doing it as a business while waiting for a job opportunity.

patience;is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay and problems without becoming annoyed or anxious.
It is very important to be patient when you leave school because there will be some delay and it may cause annoyance. Let takes for instance of some people who write jamb three times before they gain admission into high institutions if they are not patient they may give up and decided not to further more. That face is hard to bare but been patient helps a lot.

One other thing is having close friends and surronding yourself with good people.
This particular advice was what made me miss the opportunity of learning a skill,If had close friends then I would have spoke to them to know what they are doing at home while wait for the forthcoming exams. I'm sure some of my mate then learnt a skill when we left school before they gain admission.

Life is a journey;life is a journey that must be travelled no matter how bad the road and accommodation. In life there are different phase so, never underestimate the power you have to take your life after school to a new direction.
