Hola damas de Hive, es un placer para mi saludarlas luego de mucho tiempo.

En esta ocasión me gustaria participar en la edición #259, que está a cargo de @kerrislravenhill, como siempre con preguntas muy llamativas.

Quiero responder la segunda pregunta, que es la que siento que más me llamó la atención, porque me ayuda a evaluarme y conocerme un poco más, al verme reflejada en un personaje.

La pregunta dice lo siguiente:

"El anime y el manga se han vuelto muy populares en Occidente. ¿Con qué personaje de anime o manga te identificas más y por qué?"

Y la respondo de la siguiente manera:

Definitivamente me veo reflejada en Mikasa Ackerman, de Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin). Hace unos años empecé a ver esta serie de anime con mi pareja y me enganchó por completo, debo decir que antes de eso, muy pocos anime me gustaban tanto, fue como una obsesión, no había día que no viéramos un capítulo, por lo menos, luego de llegar del trabajo.

Cuando empezamos a verla, me llamó mucho la atención esa pequeña niña que perdió a sus padres y encontró refugio en otra familia, poco a poco creció y su personalidad se fortaleció junto con ella. Y no, no me siento reflejada con ella por haber perdido a sus padres, debido a que aún tengo a mis padres en mi vida y es algo que agradezco dia a dia; pero si me reflejo con su personalidad.

En la personalidad de Mikasa Ackerman podemos ver características principales: lealtad absoluta, fortaleza emocional y física, silencio y reserva, amor protector, determinación y melancolía interna y justo con esas cualidades de Mikasa, son con las que me identifico.

Al igual que Mikasa, me considero una persona leal y transparente con todos los que me rodean, tengamos años de amistad o solo días de conocernos, así la vida me haya separado de mis amistades o familiares por alguna u otra razón, si me necesitan allí estaré, por lo menos con una llamada o un mensaje si no está entre mis posibilidades trasladarme; veo su fortaleza emocional y física cuando a pesar del dolor o de la tristeza, sigo adelante cada día; siento su silencio y reserva al considerarme una persona callada cuando no me conoces, pero también tengo un mundo muy amplio en mi interior que comparto con las personas que están a mi alrededor y con las cuales siento que puedo ser yo, aunque la verdad estoy trabajando en soltarme mucho más y tener una mejor autoestima, crearme un amor propio y mostrárselo al mundo. También tengo ese amor protector, de Mikasa por Eren, siento que por mis seres queridos puedo dar todo si me necesitan, y soy feliz haciéndolo; soy determinada a lograr las cosas que quiero en mi vida, aunque a veces cueste un poco hacerlas realidad; y por último la melancolía interna, soy una persona bastante sensible y pensativa, aunque por fuera me veas con un caparazón que a veces es difícil de traspasar, y no soy muy dada a mostrar mis sentimientos, a menos que te ame demasiado jaja.

Así que sí, puedo sentir que me veo reflejada en muchos aspectos con Mikasa, aunque claramente sin dejar de ser yo misma.

Finalmente, para terminar mi participación en este concurso, debo decir que me encantó hacer esta dinámica, me gustó mucho sentarme a escribir sobre este tema y agradezco enormemente a @kerrislravenhill por esta maravillosa pregunta. Estoy muy segura de que hay muchos otros personajes, no solo de anime, con los que puedo identificarme y al mismo tiempo reflexionar sobre partes de mi vida que con el día a día se vuelven tan comunes.

I want to answer the second question, which is the one that caught my attention the most, because it helps me evaluate myself and get to know myself a little better, by seeing myself reflected in a character.

The question is as follows:

“Anime and manga have become very popular in the West. Which anime or manga character do you identify with most and why?”

And I answer it as follows:

I definitely see myself reflected in Mikasa Ackerman, from Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin). A few years ago, I started watching this anime series with my partner and I was completely hooked. I must say that before that, very few anime series had appealed to me so much. It was like an obsession; not a day went by without us watching at least one episode after coming home from work.

When we started watching it, I was very struck by this little girl who lost her parents and found refuge with another family. Little by little, she grew up and her personality strengthened along with her. And no, I don't identify with her because she lost her parents, because I still have my parents in my life and it's something I'm grateful for every day, but I do identify with her personality.

In Mikasa Ackerman's personality, we can see some main characteristics: absolute loyalty, emotional and physical strength, silence and reserve, protective love, determination, and inner melancholy, and it is precisely these qualities of Mikasa's that I identify with.

Like Mikasa, I consider myself a loyal and transparent person with everyone around me, whether we have been friends for years or have only known each other for a few days. Even if life has separated me from my friends or family for one reason or another, if they need me, I will be there, at least with a call or a message if it is not possible for me to travel. I see their emotional and physical strength when, despite pain or sadness, I keep going every day. I feel your silence and reserve when you consider me a quiet person when you don't know me, but I also have a very broad world inside me that I share with the people around me and with whom I feel I can be myself, although the truth is that I am working on letting go much more and having better self-esteem, creating self-love and showing it to the world. I also have that protective love, like Mikasa's for Eren. I feel that I can give everything for my loved ones if they need me, and I am happy doing so. I am determined to achieve the things I want in my life, even if it is sometimes difficult to make them happen; and finally, the inner melancholy. I am a very sensitive and thoughtful person, even though on the outside you see me with a shell that is sometimes difficult to break through, and I am not very inclined to show my feelings, unless I love you very much, haha.

So yes, I can see myself reflected in many aspects of Mikasa, although clearly without ceasing to be myself.

Finally, to conclude my participation in this contest, I must say that I loved doing this activity, I really enjoyed sitting down to write about this topic, and I am very grateful to @kerrislravenhill for this wonderful question. I'm sure there are many other characters, not just from anime, that I can identify with and at the same time reflect on parts of my life that become so commonplace in everyday life.
