Hello my amazing people of Hive and the Afritunes community. I go by the name @oluthomas, and I’m glad to share my entry for Week 173 of Afritunes. For this week, I will be doing a heartfelt and amazing rendition of the song “With You Lord” by Pastor Paul Enenche.

Pastor Paul Enenche is a highly respected figure or man of God, known not just in Nigeria but around the whole world. He is the founder of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria, with numerous branches across the country and globally. Beyond his calling as a preacher of the word, he is also a gifted songwriter, deeply rooted in the ministry of worship. One thing that draws me to his music is the sincerity and depth of his worship. Whenever he sings, he pours out his heart to God, forgetting his status, titles, and achievements, focusing solely on the presence of God.

The song “With You Lord” is a powerful song of total surrender. It reminds us of the need to stay deeply connected to God, no matter our situation. One line that really touches me speaks of being “naked and not ashamed.” This isn’t just about physical exposure, it is spiritual realm or even if it’s physical realm it’s better to be naked in the presence of God than of man.From my point of view It represents vulnerability before God coming to Him with our sins, weaknesses, and flaws without hiding or pretending.

Sadly, many people choose to run to fellow humans when they fall, seeking validation or help from them, only to be disappointed at the end of the day. But God never turns us away when we genuinly come to him. He receives us just as we are, with love and mercy. I hope this song encourages someone today to surrender fully wholeheartedly and draw closer to God.
