My first time in the Market

Remember the first time I went to market alone , normally I do go to the market with my mom , she can price for Africa , this technique I think all African Mothers are blessed with this because, it really works.

I do watch her pricing and arguing with the Hausa man who sells the onions " oga that onions na 500 I get to give you last and that is what I have to give you take it or I go to your next neighbor Musa will sell better. And the Hausa man would tell her Mummy this basket of onions is 1500 Naira which gain would I have , she would reply don't you know your mother when you see her oga are you selling or not " . The she would use the walking away strategy to tempt the seller to sell and it usually works .

Most times we could patrol the whole market pricing one particular foodstuff YES I call it patrol because it is stressing ,and If I complain she might insult me . But at first I didn't no it was training because I saw it as pure death wish following her to market .

On a faithful day she sent me to the market and I tried the walking away tactics this time it didn't work out for me , I was beginning to feel it was only for women . But as time passes by I became the best person you send to the market . For Example if I was asked to buy meat you don't buy the exact amount you want rather buy half the amount from one meat seller and the other from another , by doing so you have more extra .

After the first mistake I made in the market ,she would direct me to her favorite sellers and tell me to inform them that she sent me , by doing that they would treat me rightly and sell good price.
